Does it make sense?
In my opinion, yes. Canonically, also yes. Take the episode 113 for example:
Bakugo walks into the kitchen and sees that the chives are cut terribly.
"WHO THE HELL CUT THE CHIVES!?" he yells.
"I did" Todoroki says.
Bakugo then proceeds to aggressively teach him how to do it properly.
Not to mention, there are many other BakuTodo moments in the show.

Why I like/dislike this ship
I REALLY like this ship.
It is the whole reason I started watching the show. It started on wattpad when I found a specific book. I read it and thought it was cool, so I looked up more. Then, I watched Two Heroes on Netflix. After obsessing over these two for a few weeks, I decided to get a funimation account and watch the show.
