Part 1- The Day It Was Set In Stone

In the kyokuse dorm ......(69th

It was a normal day in Kyosuke dormitory saiba was getting Jun to taste a new invention of food he made with a very pungent smell.
He gave that evil smirk and shoved it in her mouth
Jun screamed as the image of gamy bear meat drenched in ghost peper sauce rapped round her body toxic smell oozing out. Saiba bent over laughing cluching his stomach

Jun: that's not funny saiba. I felt like I was dieing
Saiba: Come on Jun lighten up a bit. But how did it taste. Was it horrible. Revolting. DEADLY....
Jun rolled her eyes
Jun: what do you expect at this rate I'm afraid that tasting your disgusting food would ruin my taste buds 😢😰. Saiba you have so much potential why do you waste time making such bad food

Saiba stopped smiling then put on a fake smile

Saiba: I just think it's fun.
He chucked awkwardly

Dojimas POV

Me and Azami just finished work from the ten and walked into a very akward atmosphere. It seemed that I only noticed since Azami didn't seem to be fazed by it and was just darting his attention to Joichiro.

Dojima: So what happened here?
Saiba: Oh nothing I was just getting Jun to try my new creation. Wanna try?? He smirks 😏
Dojima: I think I'll pass. I chuckled seeing him sulk after my response

I noticed that there was something wrong with him but I just brushed it off

It was getting late and the next day was the Blue tournament It was a big day for saiba and I noticed that he looked like he was feeling quite weird any time some one would mention it. But I payed no serious attention to it but it did bother me.

At night Outside the door of Saibas room

Dojima knocked on the door

Saiba: Come in
Dojima walked in and sat on saibas bed as saiba was on his desk chair facing Dojima

Dojima: hey Joichiro
Saiba: hey
Dojima: big day huh
Saiba: yeah I guess
Dojima: is everything ok with you. You seem off.
Saiba: yeah yeah don't worry just getting out the jitters now so that tomorrow will go fine and smooth
He said with a forced smile
Dojima: You . nervous? That's new.
Saiba: yeah I guess
Dojima: there's something your not telling me. And I can wait if you don't want to tell me man
Saiba sighed 
Saiba: it's just that everyone expects so much from me and some times the pressure is to much for me to handle. And I feel that the more steps I take forwards takes me further away from my goal.
Dojima: well what is your goal?
Saiba: Oh I don't really know. He chucked. But I definitely know that it's not this
Dojima: well this is weird
Saiba: I know
Dojima: no not your situation the fact you are nervous. It still freaks me out .
Saiba let out a genuine laugh and Dojima joined him
Dojima: ok Well this is my advice to you do what you believe is right and your goal would appear right in front of you
Saiba: what if other people don't like what I want to do
Dojima: then it's their problem
Saiba smiled
Dojima: anyway goodnight bro and keep my advice in your head ok
Saiba: yeah yeah. Night

Dojima left

Saiba was left in his room starting into space thinking about his dreams and what will happen tomorrow. He finally closed his eyes and slept with no worries.

The Morning of the Blue tournament

Dojima woke up did his morning routine got dressed and made his way towards Saibas room knowing he always wakes up late

Dojima: Saiba it's time to wake up now or you will be late for your com...pe...ti...ion...he's gone

Dojima rushed down stairs calling every member of the kyosuke dorm telling them that Saiba has gone missing

Dojimas POV

Ms Fumio: ok everyone split up and find Joichiro. Don't stop till you find him.

Everyone split up and looked for Saiba. It took such a long time that we ended up missing the BLUE competition. But we didn't care as long as we found Saiba

I busted into a room to find saiba sitting on the floor.

Dojima: everyone was looking for you. We were worried. You won't make it in time for the BLUE competition.  I guess it's not a prob--
Saiba: BLUE?? Oh yeah the competition I know. I know
Dojima: what do you mean
Saiba: Oh Gin when did you get here.
Dojima: I thought I would find you in the Getten Hall
Saiba: yeah brings back so many good memories. Like The Autumn selection when I faced you. Remember that it was fun.
Dojima: yeah it was.
Saiba: yeah but now I can barely breathe. I always thought I needed to head towards my next goal not really knowing what it was it suffocated me. Then I kind of lost track on my path and didn't know what I was doing
Dojima started to cry
I new Joichiro was not a monster as other saw him to be but instead a sweet inoccent boy with delicate sensibilities
Dojima: I'm so sorry Joichiro we let you go on ahead by yourself. He said sobbing
Senzaemon Nakari walked in

Senzaemon Nakari: He has been swallowed by the storm. Sigh. I believed that this might have happened. Sometimes great talent falls and turns against itself in the end. Saiba Joichiro leave Japan for awhile and leave cooking as well. It is what you need right now.

Time skip______ In front ok Kyosuke

Dojima: So this is it. Your leaving.
Saiba: yeah I guess .he smiled
Dojima: I know you are gonna find your goal and stumble back onto your right path.
Saiba: Thanks a lot for helping me
Dojima: we are bestfriends it comes naturally. They both chuckled 
Saiba: I'm really gonna miss you guys and the dorm and cooking, but I know that this is my journey and it will help me
Dojima: it is and it will. Tell you what
Saiba: yeah
Dojima: in the future when we have children like if I have a boy or girl and you have a boy or girl we will send them to Tōtsuki and bet they will fall in love or at least be bestfriends like us
Saiba: thats stupid. He laughed cluching his stomach.  Dojima stood there with a serious face. Saiba stopped laughing and look Dojima straight in the eye and said.
Saiba: ok we will wait till the future. He smiled

Dojimas POV

With that Saiba walked away with the same smile he had when we first cooked together I knew that the future would find a way for us to meet again in some way or another and that this was just the beginning of the story that wasn't ours to tell
