Breakfast is a few peanuts and two bananas accompanied by the stale silence that lingers among us. Everyone looks between me, Jungkook and Namjoon like watching us will make up for the missing calories.
In their defence, the contrast of Namjoon's pale skin and the dark circles around his eyes making him look like a panda is impossible to ignore. His eyes are closed and his head droops on Yoongi, seeing him so lethargic gives me chills.
After cornering Hobi while we got breakfast, and using Jungkook's badgering techniques, he told us what was wrong with Namjoon. And from then until now, Jungkook has been wrapped around the other side of Namjoon like a vine on a tree.
I can't stop myself from thinking Jimin would be good for everyone right now. Everyone knows how emotionally intelligent he is, not even Namjoon can hide from him. He knows how to get everyone moving. Being stuck on a deserted island isn't the same without him.
We try to keep it cheerful but nothing around here has been the same since we learned about Jin-hyung. I glance over at Hobi.
Yep, he's as serious as ever.
If this were any other time I wouldn't even have to look at him for Hobi to start a conversation.
Hyori quietly braids Little Hope's hair while she hums some Twice song as the young girl eats. What would we do without her? She's been quite the emotional pillar for all of us, it's hard to believe she's the same age as Jungkook.
Even still, Jimin is the only one who can fix this.
I sigh and take another bite out of my banana. The uncertainty is killing me. I don't know if I'll be able to hold myself together if we lose another member. I shake the thought out of my head and gulp the banana before I cough lightly to gain everyone's attention. "So what's today's plan?"
Namjoon furrows his brow but Yoongi places a hand on his head. "There's not much we can do. We have our basic needs filled to an extent, we should save our energy so we don't get too hungry and drain our food supply," Yoongi says.
"Speaking of our food supply, we need a real rationing plan," Hyori adds, "our food won't last forever and we need to know how to divide it properly."
I give her a nod.
Jungkook raises his hand. "We need to find out what we have first."
Hobi nods. "Good point, Jungkook."
"Do you think you can get more fish today or is that too energy-consuming?" I ask Jungkook.
Jungkook grins and gives me a thumbs up.
"Great, more seafood," Namjoon groans. "Don't worry, I'll have to get used to it. Let's keep looking for Jimin and make an SOS sign on the beach," he says as if reading my mind.
