Chapter 7: Scarlet By Your Side (1/2)

Remilia: "Sakuya... breakfast..."

A wild sleepy half-awake Oujo-sama has appeared

Sakuya: "Good Morning Oujo-sama, breakfast will be ready shortly"

Remilia: "Mmm... *yawn* okay... call me when it's ready then... I'm going back to bed..."

It's been almost a month since we moved here, I'm glad that Oujo-sama and others have gotten used to live here

But, we can't stay here forever. This isn't our home after all. We need to go back to the Scarlet Devil Mansion one day... even if it means leaving Kazuma...

I guess the best thing to do now is to not think about it. Who knows when will that damn Gap Youkai will appear again to take us back.

Meiling: "Mornin' Sakuya!"

Sakuya: "Good morning Chin- I mean, Meiling"

Meiling: "You almost called me China didn't you..."

Sakuya: "Just your imagination"

Meiling: "Are there breakfasts yet?"

Sakuya: "There will be, also don't slack off just because this is not Scarlet Devil Mansion. We are not freeloaders"

Meiling: "I know I know. I'll start after breakfast..."

Sakuya: "Very well then"

This girl better not be sleeping when I check on her later... speaking of checking on sleep...

Even though it was a misunderstanding but I still can't get that picture out of my head! F-Flan-sama and Kazuma were... s-sleeping together! Not to mention Flan-sama called Kazuma Onii-chan! I've scolded both of them after that but knowing Flan-sama... she might...

I better check on him just in case

Sakuya: "Meiling, hold this"

Meiling: "Eh? Wha?"

Sakuya: "Just keep stirring for about 3 minutes then turn off the gas"

Meiling: "Wha-wait! I don't know how to use this thing!"

Sakuya: "Just turn the switch, I'll be right back"

I left the cooking to Meiling and waltz off to Kazuma's room.

Now I'm outside Kazuma's room, alright... no sound, he's probably still asleep. Flan-sama might've snuck inside... no use checking her room, she simply can put a clone in her place.

Sakuya: "K-Kazuma-sama... breakfast is almost ready..."

I open the door slowly, revealing Kazuma lying on the floor seemingly lifeless

Sakuya: "Kazuma!? A-are you okay!?"

I rush over to him to check his vitals... he's still alive... phew, thank goodness... wait, I can't let my guard down, who or whatever causes this might still be in this room!

Sakuya: "Kazuma! Hang in there! What happened!?"

I help him get back on his feet, he's heavy, he doesn't seem to have much strength.I wrap his arm around me so I can carry him.

Kazuma: "...ha... ha...Sa...Ku...ya..."

He's breathing heavily, something got him... but what is it!? He's also sweating a lot, this might not... be... good...
