Why won't you move away, it's much too cold, you see?
But, you lay there with eyes melting into the snow,
I watch from the tree, why don't you see me?

I scream, why can't you hear me?
I tell you to go away, over and over again.
My voice is cracking in the wildfire behind you.

When you vow to run away I remember your backpack,
Left alone covered in snow, so I know you're there
I can see your eyes behind every shadow,
Between and through every tiny crevice.

Blood drips between your lips down
Your white dress and white suit.
Did it turn white? It turned white again.
Or, was your face white, while I stare
Into a broken ceiling crack.

I watch you run into the lake next to the
Place you last rested, covered in snow
You melt away, your hand reaches out,
But for now your gone, I hope.

You will be back again, though.
