Riley

The last week seems to have flown by, we've had our Male auditions and our Male Soloist is Eldon, the female auditions are in less the 20 minutes and I was using this spare time to rehearse
The second round of Duet auditions are tomorrow, everyone agreed to stick to their original partners 

When I joined A-Troupe I had no idea what I was getting myself into but honestly, it's been the best month of my life
I was ready to completely make a name for The Next Step at internationals

"Woah" A voice said making me look over to the door to see a blonde walking in
"I take it your the female soloist?" He asked as I stood up
"Uh no? Auditions for that are in a minute" I said tucking hair behind my ear
"oh well you're so going to smash it" He said and I nodded

I had no idea who he was or what he was doing here, I had never seen him here before either
"I'm Oscar" He said reaching out his hand
"Oh hi, I'm Riley" I said shaking his hand
"Just the lady I was looking for" He said making me look at him confused

"Miss Kate sent me to come and get you" He said making me nod
I grabbed the few things I had brought with me before following him out heading straight to Studio A

As I walked in, I could see A-Troupe huddled in the corner while Miss Kate spoke to them
"Ah Riley! Oh good you've met Oscar" Miss Kate cheered as I walked over a took a stance next to James
"That would be me" Oscar confidently said
"Oscar is our exchange for Internationals, he'll be with us for a little while Amanda is away" Miss Kate said smiling in his direction
I looked up at James who had a smile on his face listening to Miss Kate
I don't know what it is about Oscar, but something seems off

"And last but not least we have Riley" Miss Kate smiled as Riley stepped forward for her audition, I'd been working with Riley on her solo and man it's killer
I offered her one final smile before she took her first position 

The more she danced, the more you could see her want. Riley was one of our strongest dancers and I reckon she could easily be our secret weapon, the person who helps us win Internationals

"That was amazing" Miss Kate cheered
"I think it's safe to say who our International Soloist will be" Miss Kate smiled before every member of A-Troupe looked over at Riley
"congratulations Riley!" She said before everyone engulfed her into a hug 

I was about to head to meet Riley when I saw her talking to Oscar by the cubbies
"That's sweet but no thanks" Riley said but from the look of Oscars face, he didn't like the word no
"Come on Riley, I'm only here for a couple weeks. What's the harm" He pestered as I started to make my way over to the pair

"I don't want to go on a date with you so my answer is still no" Riley said positioning her bag on her shoulder
"come o-" Oscar started before I cut him off
"She told you no" I warned him making Riley look up at me with a thankful smile
"Sorry but I think this conversation was between Riley and I" Oscar bit back making Riley roll her eyes

"Are you ready to go?" Riley asked and I smiled
"Take it away babe" I teased her, I'd recently found that she despises the word 
"Riley we aren't fini-" Oscar started
"Did you want to get a juice before heading out?" Riley asked making me chuckle at her complete ignorance to Oscar

"sure" i chuckled throwing my arm over her shoulder as we walked out
