There you are. Walking down the street just to be a few minutes with me. Wow, that's crazy to think you would even bat an eye at me, but here we are.
I remember the first time I ever saw you. Back then I thought you would just be an extra in my main story. I remember I looked at you once and thought it would be the last because why would someone like you talk to someone like me?
But then something changed. I don't know what the key point was for a big twist in my story, but you also became a main character. And that sucks but it feels so good at the same time.
'Cause I know you'll never go for me. Not in a million years. But I feel good about that. Because I can look at you and cherish you that you'll only see me as your friend. And I feel good about that because you see me as something in your life and not just the extra that I thought you would be in my story.
Boy, did I want to be something in your main story; the sidekick, the best friend who is falling for you, the secondary character, even the extra; something to mend my broken heart from past experiences.
I remembered telling you once to "be brave; trust yourself more, you're way better than you are now". But maybe I was using you as an excuse to tell myself that I should stop being a coward and tell you how I feel.
But I am a coward and I'll never tell you how I feel; just like I said, you won't go for me.
I'm destined to watch you from afar.
