Chapter 25: waiting

Draco cried himself to sleep that night, he was mad at himself for what he said to his precious Harry, he was sad about what Harry said to him, he was confused about how things had escalated so quickly, he was worried that Harry was hurt

The next day when he woke up, he didn't want to leave his bed, he didn't want to go outside, eat, drink,take a shower, or even leave his bed so he didn't, he stayed in bed wishing Harry was with him, he didn't talk to anyone, he didn't owl anyone

He rolled over in bed and went back to bed, he slept for hours, he wasn't tired, he was just depressed, he had no motivation to do anything

Draco woke up around 5:30, when he finally woke up he decided he wanted to get something to eat, he went to the kitchen and made chicken nuggets, he had plenty that he could eat since Harry wasn't there anymore and he didn't want them to just go to waste

Draco cooked his chicken nuggets and sat down at the table, as he ate his chicken nuggets he felt his heart sink, all he wanted was to see Harry again, he wondered where he had went

Draco finished eating and went to Harry's nursery, he looked around for a bit, he sat in Harry's bed and noticed Harry had taken the blanket that Draco used to tuck him in with

He couldn't help but smile to himself, he went to Harry's closet and saw another note, he picked it up and read it

"Hey again, it's Harry, I figured you would be in my room, and I have a surprise for you, look under my bed"

Draco was extremely confused and didn't know what to do or say, but he did as the letter said, he looked under Harry's bed and under his bed was a small green box with a white bow

Draco pulled it out from under the bed and opened it, inside was a picture of Draco and Harry sleeping in his bed together, but behind that was a necklace, it had Harry's name on it with a note saying "I'll always be with you" Draco started to cry as hell the necklace tightly in his hand

"Why did you leave me?! Why?!" Draco shouted, anger and sadness and worry in his voice

Draco put the necklace and photo back into the box and went back to bed

When the clock hit 10:46 he felt his bracelet getting warm, it was glowing red, draco sighed, Harry was safe, and that's all that mattered to him

Draco woke up the next day and decided to try and get through the day, and he did, but he was sad, alone, just absolutely miserable, until 10:46 when his bracelet got warm again, meaning Harry was safe, and this time he tapped it back

The same thing happened the next day, and the day after that, every day at the exact same time the bracelet would glow red or blue, and Draco looked forward to it every night

when Harry had left he went back to the only home he had ever known, The Dursley's, he knew what they did to him was horrible, and that he shouldn't be back there but he couldn't stay with Lucius anymore, draco doesn't love him, the Weasleys would tell Draco, and he still hadn't seen Hermione since last year

So Harry went back to the monsters that would treat him like the freak he is, but this time they only treated him worse, Harry wasn't even allowed inside the house anymore, the forced him to sleep outside behind the shed, he had to wake up at four in the morning and iron their clothes and make breakfast, then they would make him clean ever room in the house twice, and if it wasn't to their exact standards they would beat him, much worse then when he was a child

After every beating they would lock him in the basement until it was time for lunch, then he would be brought forced to cook for them, and then back in the basement until dinner, then after dinner he would be out outside, but every day he looked forward to one thing, tapping his bracelet, every day at the same time he would tap his bracelet so Draco knew he was ok, and Draco would always tap back

for about 3 months the same thing continued, Harry would go through the same process every day, then once he was alone he would tap his bracelet, and every day draco would wait for his bracelet to glow

Draco was happier then he was the day Harry left, he started hanging out with Blaise more, he still kept in contact with the Weasleys just in case they heard anything from Harry but they never did

Harry's situation only got worse, his family felt they needed to prove that Harry was only a slave, the beating got worse, Harry wanted to go home but he knew he couldn't, Draco wouldn't want him back anymore or so he thought, but little did Harry know draco was waiting for him

Draco decided he was going to find Harry one way or another, he started by asking the Weasley's for help, and they agreed to help him, and together they made a search party to find Harry, they put up flyers, they asked his friends, and they even tried to go to the ministry but they were no help.

Draco had been searching for him since the day he left, but still couldn't find him, he was starting to loose hope. But he kept doing his best, not just for himself huh for everyone who wants to know that Harry is safe again

Harry was starting to loose hope that he would make it another month, the beating had gotten worse, he would be left bleeding in multiple different places and well lord only knows what they would do to him when he passed out from blood loss
