When Melly got home, she was bombarded with questions by Steve.

"What happened this morning?"

"I wasn't in the mood to socialize."

"Why did I get a call saying you were talking to Chief Jim Hopper? What did you do?"

"I didn't do anything. He was asking about Will."

"What happened to Will?"

"He went missing."

"Are you okay? You've been acting weird lately."

"Yeah, I'm fine. Can I go upstairs now? I still don't feel good."

"Yeah go. But if you need anything, and I mean anything, I'm right down here. I swear to God, absolutely anything."

"Okay. Thanks."

"You're welcome. Oh and Mel, Dad said that he and Mom are coming back tomorrow but it's okay because they're not staying for long. Probably 4 hours tops."

"Okay. Thanks for the heads up."

And with that, Melly bolted up the stairs.

Mel wants to tell Steve about everything that has happened with her that day, but she's afraid he'll laugh at her. She's afraid that'll happen with all of her friends.

She started thinking about what to do about Will until eventually, she fell asleep.

Melly woke up to the sound of her super-comm going off.

"Melly, do you copy? It's Mike, Melly!" Mike said, trying to get her attention.

"Hey, it's Melly," she responded, hoarsely since she just woke up.

"I know it's you. And say 'over' when you're done talking so I know when you're done. Over."

"I'm done. Over."

"I'm worried about Will. Over."

"Yeah. This is crazy. Over."

"I was thinking... Will could've cast Protection last night but he didn't. He cast Fireball. Over."

"What's your point? Over."

"My point is... he could've played it safe, but he didn't. He put himself in danger to help the party. Over."

"Hmmm... meet me in ten. Over and out," Mel pushed the antenna on her super-comm down and she put that, a flashlight, and some food in her backpack.

Y'know, just in case they are out for a long time, and they get hungry.

She goes downstairs to tell Steve that she's going to sleep at the Wheeler's house, but he's gone.

Hmm... He must be hanging out with Tommy and Carol, she thought. Then she took off on her bike, riding to Mirkwood.

The kids meet up where they found Will's bike.

"Aww, man. This is it," Lucas says, breaking the silence.

"Hey guys, you feel that," Dustin asks as it starts to rain.

"I think maybe we should go back," Melly says, using the rain as an excuse to hide the fact that she's scared.

"No. We're not going back. Just stay close. And wasn't this your idea? Come on," Mike says, in as calm of a voice he can put on right now.

"Just stay on channel six and don't do anything stupid," Dustin said to the scared girl. Lucas and Mike started to walk off, leaving Dustin and Melly next to the road alone.
