I was currently surrounded by my friends, sitting on my bed as they tried to pick out something "half decent."

"Asy where the heck are your going out clothes?!" Leela exaggeratedly questioned. Funny, coming from her, seeing as her wardrobe consisted solely of hoodies and leggings.

"What do you mean? There's so much in here!" I remarked, feeling defensive. Hey, it's not my fault I prefer to spend my time at home watching kardeslerim and the promised neverland! Honestly.

"You have barely anything in here, what are you on about?" Pari hissed, shoving a pair of Dora The Explorer sunglasses into Asy's hands as evidence.

"Hey! Don't diss Dora!" I glared in response, feeling protective over one of my favourite accessories.

"We could do a quick primark run?" Elin suggested- using this as part of her major scheme to buy their latest stock of Stranger Things merch.

"Wait!" Lee exclaimed, suddenly shooting up from her position of rifling through my clothing options. Honestly, people these days have no sense of personal space. "This isn't too bad."

Residing in Leela's open palms was a long, flowly dress. The fabric was a pale red colour- decorated with little embroided flowers along the hem. It had puff sleeves into a long elegant arm.

It was perfect.

"You couldn't have told us you owned that an hour ago?" Elin grumbled through narrower eyes, clasping a hold of my hands as she yanked me off the bed so i could be replaced with the dress.

"I kind of forgot it existed," I sheepishly smiled, rubbing the back of my neck.

"It's like a dress fit for the Yule Ball," Pari smiled dreamily at the cloth now draped across the bed- once again pleased she could bring Harry Potter into the conversation.

"You're going to look so gorgeous!" Khaddy grinned, excitement alive in her eyes.

"For once."

THE COFFEE SHACK

It took 2 hours, an extensive amount of yelling and a lot of concealer until I was finally ready.

Of course, the girls had refused to allow me to be in any view of a mirror, so my final appearance would be a 'surprise'.

Considering how much they poked at my eyes, I had to say that upon the final reveal, I couldn't exactly see much difference.

They'd put quite natural makeup on my face, extenuating my doe eyes. Shiny lipgloss was smeared across my lips, a light coat of blush adorning my now rosie cheeks.

I was mainly focused on the dress, feeling so unbelievably confident and happy in the soft material.

"You look-"

"Perfect."

"Hell if you asked me to I would marry you right now," Elin grinned- clearly proud of how well the group had done.

"We should start our own business," Leela nodded approvingly.

"You'd burn the place down within an hour," I commented, still admiring my appearance.

"Abdul's going to love you- honestly you're hotter than lava right now," Pari smiled from behind me as my gaze still refused to leave the mirror.

"I hope so. You basically blinded me for this."
