The next day, Sofia was dressed in her usual purple dress, and her animal friends came in to see her.

"Hey, Sof, how goes it?" Clover asked. "Excited to see that prince of yours?"

"I sure am," Sofia beamed. "I guess I don't have to wait until Monday to see Hugo, and I hear that his mom wants to meet me."

"Well, this is quite the occasion," Robin smiled.

"Yeah, you're going to meet your future mother-in-law," Mia smiled.

That comment caught Sofia off-guard. "Mother-in-law?" she blushed. "Mia, don't be so quick. Hugo and I are only kids, and we've barely been friends for a day. Why are we talking marriage already?"

"Well, you said yesterday that you were in love with the boy," Clover teased.

"I don't know," Sofia blushed. "Maybe I'm rushing it. I should get to know him better. Besides, I shouldn't let it blind me from helping James since he'd been hurt and won't be using his hands much for two weeks." She left her room and walked to the main entrance of the castle, where Amber was with Hildegard and Clio.

"Hi, Sofia," Clio smiled.

"Hi, Clio, Hildegard," Sofia waved.

"We heard Prince Hugo was coming, and we just had to come, too," Hildegard said.

"Good to hear you all like Hugo again," Sofia smiled.

Suddenly, a trumpet fanfare played, and that meant Hugo's family had made it.

"He made it!" Amber squealed.

"Let's go," Hildegard said.

Hildegard, Clio, and the royals of Enchancia went outside to greet Hugo's family. The coach pulled to the main entrance and stopped. Garrick and Samira stepped out, followed by their sons. Miranda and Sofia were excited to meet Samira.

"Welcome to Enchancia Castle," Roland smiled.

"Thank you, King Roland," Garrick smiled back.

"You must be Queen Samira," Miranda surmised.

"Indeed," Samira confirmed.

"Queen Samira," Amber smiled, curtseying.

Hildegard and Clio curtseyed, too, but Sofia could see that Samira wasn't too fond of these three princesses.

"Mom, see that little princess in the purple dress?" Hugo asked. "That's Sofia."

When Samira saw Sofia, she couldn't believe how adorable the little girl was. "So, this is the girl you raced with," she surmised.

"Yes, very nice to meet you, Queen Samira," Sofia smiled.

"Oh, aren't you just adorable?" Samira gushed, pulling Sofia into a hug. "Oh, I could just eat you up!"

"Don't even try," Sofia joked. "I don't taste very good."

Hugo, Axel, and Garrick laughed at Sofia's joke. Miranda, Roland, and James thought that was funny, too, but Amber and her friends didn't get it.

"Charming," Samira chuckled.

"How are you feeling, James?" Hugo asked.

"A little better," James replied. "Miss Flora said it'll take two weeks to heal, but I'll be fine."

"Well, why don't we all go inside?" Roland asked.

Everyone entered the castle. But as they entered, Sofia's foot hit a lump in the rug, and she was about to trip only for Hugo to catch her. "Watch your step," he said.
