Wind-Kissed
Each petal in turn
plucked and born
on the wind of wishes
from a heart forlorn
takes flight in dream
and past all scorn
as a soul fishes
on an empty shore
Each glance in passing
Remembered and kept
is a memory stored
and a hope unmet
Yet a chance to know
and to make it known
is a good reward
and better than regret
Gather the flowers
into your fist
Give each stem
a wishful twist
Break gently the past
and let a new day take flight
with whispers, wind-kissed
and the future set right
