Guys a short note.... So there will be two scenarios from now on. The part where the reader falls in love with Naveen is one scenario which will be in normal font and the other scenario where the reader falls in love with Dhanush will be initalics. The things that will be in common will be in bold.

"Tammy" You called her as she turned towards you "Yes (y/n)" "Where is Nayan?" "She is in her room I don't know she didn't come out for hours" "Okay thanks" Tammy smiled and went to do her work. You thought of checking on Nayan as you walked upto her room. You knocked on the door. For a few minutes it was silent but then she opened the door. "Hey" She let you in "What happened?" "Nothing I am.. scared" "Why so?" "Did you take look outside ? I am scared if I would even make it out alive " "Nayan you don't have to be scared about anything see I am here and all of our friends are here you will be safe" She sighed and still looked down "Nayan.... I am with you" You smiled at her and held her hand. She smiled and chuckled "I love you" She hugged you "Aww I love you too" You returned her hug back. She came out of the room finally and joined to chat with the others at the living room.
You were happy that she was finally happy and turned to go to the kitchen to help with others who were in there as Naveen was standing behind you "Naveen... Don't scare me like that" You giggled "Hey are you okay?" "I am fine why are you asking that?" "I mean you don't look happy like you always are....Is something disturbing you? " "Nothing... " You smiled at him "I know you are lying anyways what were you about to do?" "I was about to go to the kitchen to help with others to prepare lunch" "Can I come too?" "Of course" You chuckled as he walked beside you to the kitchen. You and Naveen helped in cutting the vegetables as Tamanna and Keerthy were cooking. You saw Dhanush walk into the kitchen to fetch something as he saw you and Naveen laughing together obviously he got irritated and left. You sighed and started minding your own business . "So... Naveen" "Hmm" "Have you ever been in love?" "With what?" He chuckled softly "Like... In love with someone" "Yes" He didn't even hesitate "Have you?" He stopped chopping and looked up at you "Hmm... Yea" He looked at you smiling as you were looking down while chopping the vegetables. "Who is she?" You looked up finally. Naveen placed the knife down and looked into your curious eyes "Do you want to know?" "Yes" You nodded. "I am not telling you that" "Come on" "No" "Your choice" You shrugged "I thought you would be insistent on knowing her" "I don't care silly" You laughed and walked away with the tray of vegetables. He shook his head and laughed gently well knowing you would have known it was you that he was talking about.
Dhanush walked into the kitchen as he saw you and Naveen laughing together obviously he got irritated and left. You stopped cutting and put the knife down "Naveen I'll be back" "Okie" He smiled at you as you walked upto Dhanush's room. You knocked on the door . He opened it "What?" "Can I come in?" He processed for a minute thinking about whether to let you in or shut you out. He nodded after a minute and let you in and closed the door behind him. "D" You held his hand "I know I know I am sorry about the incident that happened with Naveen and in the kitchen I shouldn't have shouted at you like that ... I am sorry" He still wasn't looking at you "Dhanush look at me... Are you just going to shut out our friendship like that ?" He looked up at you with tears in his eyes. You placed your other hand on his cheek . He sat on the bed and didn't say a word to you. You sat beside him. He moved closer to you and laid his head on your chest. You placed your hand on his head gently running your hands through his hair. "I... don't want to be your friend anymore... It's just I feel so alone I cannot speak about my feelings for you to anyone. Everyone thought you looked better with Naveen and you were happy around with him. I can't even remember the last time I made you smile like him. I started to feel ... that whatever I did he was always above me he had you... the one thing I always wanted" You sobbed softly and kissed him on the head. "Do you remember the first time I met you?" You chuckled through your sobs. "I can't forget that ever" He chuckled too "We were an introverted mess... in a good way" "You were scared to talk to me I was scared to talk to you but still we managed to get closer" He continued "I mean... the first time I saw you... it was a love at first sight but I knew you wouldn't see me like that you always saw me as a good friend" "Dhanush I really don't know what to say I need time to process everything and that too in a situation like this... I am scared I may seem to handle the situations at hand with a little courage in me but truly I am scared... I am really scared give me my time I need to think I need to free my mind first to think about the other things" He nodded "Hey" You wanted to lift his spirits "Let's talk about something else don't stress about this too much " "(Y/n).... Will you choose me or will you just try to console me till the end that you will end up with Naveen and there is no stopping it" "Dhanush... I" "You said you loved him is it true? You love him more than a friend and you love me just as a friend" "D you see I have answers for none of these questions Naveen has been my friend for years too and when I saw that you wouldn't let me save him I got really mad and... I don't know what came into me. But I have a genuine love for him as a friend too maybe that's what made me scream I love only him" You sighed "I am not in the right state of mind now D let me have my space" You got up and walked to the door "I'll see you later" You closed the door leaving Dhanush all alone again.
It was night. Everyone got finished with your dinner. The power went off and you all had to light candles around the living room so that you guys can sit together. "Guys let's play something" You were sitting with Siva and Vijay on either side of you. Siva had his hand around your shoulder as you turned towards Tammy who made the announcement. "Let's play truth or dare" She looked at everyone's exhausted face for answers "Yea sure" Vijay shrugged "Yep" You said next "Yea ready" Siva said next. Everyone agreed as Tammy got out a bottle to spin.
