"Good afternoon, birthday girl," Lizzie was the first to greet her, making her way to pick up the still slightly sleepy girl.
"Hello," Alexis huffed contently as she laid her head on Lizzie's shoulder.
"Hey, birthday girl!" Mary-Kate jumped up from the couch to greet Alexis.
"Happy Birthday!" Ashley joined in before adding "how was your nap?"
"Thawnk yowu, I swleep good," the tired girl continued to cuddle into Lizzie's embrace as they sat down on the couch. She still had yet to recognize that her mess had been cleaned and replaced with birthday party decor. The coffee table was no longer covered in crayons and various coloring pages, but rather a purple plastic tablecloth with some Disney princess-themed place settings.
"You seem sleepy," Lizzie commented tickling the child's stomach a little.
"No, no I-um awake," Alexis lazily lifted her head to wave at her aunts who were grinning at her cuteness.
"Do you wanna go change into your birthday dress now?" Lizzie suggested, knowing that Alexis has been excited to wear that since the day they bought it.
"My princess dress?" Alexis nodded eagerly with wide eyes.
"Yeah, we'll all get changed right?" Lizzie decided on the group. Alexis was one stubborn kid, and as soon as she decided on a princess dinner for her birthday that was everything. Everyone has to wear a princess dress or suit to dinner and along with a tiara and princess or prince shoes.
"Oh yeah," Mary-Kate nodded along, matching her niece's energy.
"Dibs on the bathroom first!" Ashley jumped up first grabbing her dress and heading into the bathroom before Mary-Kate could even get a word out.
"We'll be right back," Lizzie laughed at her sister's pout.
"Don't be saddd, Auntie MK! I'll be back!" Alexis declared, trying to make her Aunt smile as Lizzie carried her back to the bedroom where their dresses were hanging.
Lizzie helped Alexis change into her dress first, doing her best to keep the dress from getting dirty or overly wrinkled. She then decided that they'll do Alexis's hair once the twins finish in the bathroom. Alexis eagerly pulled on her favorite plastic princess heels, despite Lizzie agreeing to get her new shoes, the purple plastic 1/2 inch heels were what she wanted.

Once Alexis was finished getting changed she headed out into the living room where her Aunt Ashley had just finished getting ready. The twins had arrived with their hair and makeup already done, so they just needed to change, which didn't take long.
"Wow, Princess Alexis, you look beautiful," Ashley smiled down at her niece who was spinning in circles in front of her.
"Thawnk you!" Alexis beamed with a grin, "You look very pretty too!"
