9:30 pm;

me and rue have been riding our bikes for it felt like hours, it was her first week back from rehab and i had missed her so much.
we were both bored so we pulled over at a gas station

i can barely feel my legs ughhhh i groaned.

as we walk in i see a fez at the register his eyes had opened wide when he had seen rue walk in.

"where have you been at kiddo?" fez asked

"i just gotten back from rehab i feel like a whole different person ever since i've been back." rue exclaimed

"how long yous been back, how you feeling tho?"

as rue and fez talked i was walking around the isles looking for something to snack on as i grabbed some chips,

rue started walking towards me she grabbed my hand and took me into a room in the back of the gas station

as she knocked on the door i opened my chips and started eating them. until i hear another voice " come in ".

we walk in and see a boy that looked my age eating cereal. he puts down his bowl and looks up at rue

"i thought ur ass was dead" he exclaimed.

"i thought you had asperger's until i realized your just a prick" she joked back.

"this is a business i got goin on i'm just tryna stack my money and pay off my mortgage" the boy said

i accidentally let out a laugh

he looked me up and down "and you is?" he asked

"melanie short for mel and you?" i asked back

"ashtray." he exclaimed why ain't i never seen you around here befo?

rue interrupted us, " can y'all talk about this later i'm just tryna get my drugs and go " she laughed

"alright watchu want?"

"some molly and weed please" i asked him

he opened up a microwave and pulled out a baggy with a bunch of drugs in i pulled out my hand and he handed me the drugs.

"that'll be 140." he asked

"fez said he would spot me" rue exclaimed

"yeah okay" he rolled his eyes, while we were walking out i could just feel eyes staring at the back of my head

rue and me stayed at the shop for a little and talked to fez catching up on everything. i sat on the counter pulling out the bag of weed ash gave me.

rolling up with my strawberry rolling papers i noticed ash walked in asking fez when they would lock up but he seen me and rues bikes still outside.

he glanced over at me while i was licking the blunt to seal it up, looking me up and down i put the blunt down and i noticed we were both looking at each other.

"staring problem?" i outed

he didn't respond and walked back into the room. in was quiet for a second

i was chilling eating cereal in the back until i heard a knock on the freezer door who tf could this be " come in "

i said it was rue and her friend, i looked her up and down cuz i ain't never seen her around here befo

i noticed she was eating a bag of chips while me and rue were talking

whos yo friend? i whispered

this is mel, mel this is ashtray, fez's younger brother

i look her up and down and she noticed i quickly looked away

10 min later—

as they start walking out the freezer i started counting all the money i've gotten today only 500 bucks i walk out to ask fez when we was walking out and i noticed rue and mel were still here

yo fez when we locking up?

after these too find out what they doin tonight. he looked at rue and mel

mels pov

rue asked if it was okay with me.

" yeah bet lemme just text maddie and tell her "
fez and ashtray started turning off the lights while locking the doors we all head from out back to get in the car

i grabbed my bike and handed it too ash he was helping me put it in the trunk, i couldn't stop but stare at his face he looked so pissed off.

i get in the back of the car and lay my head down on rue i was so tired i accidentally fell asleep

when we finally got to fezs house rue woke me up we're here mel, she whispered i got up and headed inside it was kinda messy but kinda clean and smelled like straight weed when you walk in, i went to go lay down on the couch but i slowly felt my eyes shutting.

ashtrays pov

we all noticed mel had fell asleep, i caught myself staring at the way she looked when she was asleep how does somebody look good while sleeping? i asked myself

i went in my room and put a blanket over her, while fez was heading into his room rue got on the other couch but i sat on the couch i couldn't stop staring at the way she was rested.

the way her mouth was slightly opened while her head was layed down, i shook of my thoughts and headed into my room.

2:30 in the morning—

i heard the fridge open so i got up walking out suspiciously, i walk into the living room to see mel not on the couch anymore,

" what you doin? " i asked

she got startled, turning around and looking at me " getting a drink my throat is dry " she responded

" where did are convo leave off at earlier? we wasn't done talking " i asked

i don't know ' but i'm really tired so ask me in the morning she walked away heading back to laying on the couch shutting her eyes again.

as she walked by i jus watched her get on the couch then headed back into my room, i don't know why i wanted to talk to her so bad.
