17. My Heart Belongs To.......

Zoe POV

Walking into the court house I was was exhausted, I had barely slept, and I had gone through a whole bottle of wine which I wasn't entirely sure I had slept off. Of the first thing to greet me instead of my lawyer was my estranged husbands smiling face.

"Good morning" he smiles "how are you?"

"How do you think I am?" I snap "this is all your pathetic game"

Taking my arm he guides me away from everyone to a quite corner of the court house, god alone knows what he wants and I really wasn't in the mood for him.

"What are you doing, let go" I say pulling my arm back

"I just want to talk" he says "you it doesn't have to be like this, it never had to be like this"

"What are you talking about?" I ask

"Zoe none of this would have happened if you hadn't run away" he says "I know losing the baby destroyed you but instead of us grieving together you went on the road with Dolph and pushed me away"

"I didn't push you away Todd" I sigh "I blamed myself, I thought we lost the baby becuase I'd done something wrong and I couldn't look at you knowing I'd caused you so much pain, I thought me not being around was for the best"

"I don't want any of this Zoe" he says cupping my cheek "what I want is my wife back, I want us to have the family we always wanted, I love you baby"

"I can't give you what you want Todd" I say placing my hand on top of his "I don't love you anymore, my heart belongs to some one else"

"You're absolutely certain he's what you want?" He asks looking into my eyes

"Yes I am" I say "I'm in love with him, he's what I want"

"Then I won't drag this out anymore" he says "I'll sign the papers you filed, this will be over but I want you to do something for me, don't push him away, if you push people away eveytime there's a problem you will end up alone"

"Thank you" I smile

I reach out and wrap my arms around him in a gesture that sealed the end of our marriage, a goodbye hug. He hugs my back gently rubbing back, but as I gaze over his shoulder I see a familiar face looking at us, a very sad familiar face.

"Oh my god" I gasp letting go of Todd "Damian"

He looks at me for a second longer before turning and heading for the door of the courthouse, I rush after him once again failing to keep up with his huge strides especially in these stupid heels.

Stopping I take them off and throw them in a nearby trash can "whoever evented heels should be shot" I say under my breath before taking off running after Damian.

Damian POV

Go after her Damian, she needs you Damain. Yeah sure she does, looks like she needs me like a hole in the head right now. I've grown all the way here just to find out she's getting back with her ex.

"Damain!" She calls out "Damian wait!"

"For what?" I snap swinging myself round to face her "for my heart to break all over again?"

"That wasn't what it looks like" she pants leaning over and resting her hands on her knees "you really need to walk slower" she says and for some reason I can't help but chuckle

"We were saying goodbye" she says standing up straight "it's over he's signing the papers I filed"

"You're not getting back with him?" I ask and she shakes her head

"No, he wanted me to but I told him I couldn't" she says "becuase I'm in love with you, my heart belong to you. D I am so sorry for how I behaved, for pushing you away. I was wrong and I know I don't deserve it but I'm asking you to give me another chance"

"I shouldn't have gone off at you the way I did" I say "I'm in love with you too princesa, you had my heart from day one"

Without saying another word I take her face in my hands and gently place my lips against hers. As we kiss I wrap my arms around her and lift her, taking her feet off the floor. After a few seconds I place her back down and break the kiss.

"Princesa where are your shoes?" I ask looking down at her feet

"In the bin" she laughs "it would seem I can't run after you in heels"

"Well you'll never have to run after me again" I smile "because from now I will always be by your side"

I take her hand in mine and we start to walk towards my car, Zoe looks down at our linked and hands and then back up at me with a smile before stopping in her tracks.

"Wait a second" she says looking confused " what are you in Florida? Is there a show?"

"No" I say "I little noodle haired bird told me you needed me, even bought me the ticket"

"Dolph sent you here?" She asks and I nod " but how.........Bobby" she says rolling her eyes "and you came here for me, after everything I did?"

"It's what you do for the one you love" I smile "you need me, I'm there, always"
