Chloe's POV

I woke up really early next morning. My reading light was still on and my phone was in my hands. I must have fell asleep at one point. I heard voices from downstairs and I checked my phone. It was 7 o'clock in the morning. I didn't feel tired so I went downstairs for breakfast. I wasn't hungry but my brain needed some sort of a distraction. My parents were looking at me strangely while I fixed myself some toast.
"Chloe, there is something we need to tell you", my dad said.
"Go on", I said, even though I almost knew what this was about.
"Melissa reported Maddie missing about an hour ago", my mom started. I dropped my toast on the floor.
"The police has no suspects or evidence, but it has been suggested by the police to keep a close eye on you girls", my mom said meaning me and the other aldc elite competition team members Mackenzie, Nia, Paige, Brooke and Kendall.
"W-what do you mean by keeping a close eye on us?" I asked.
"Well, you know, coming straight home from school, all that", my dad said.
"I-is Maddie ok?" all this just started to sink in.
"We don't know honey but I'm sure the police will find her and she'll be ok" my mom hugged me. Tears started falling on my cheeks.
