Kenzie's POV
I was sitting on my bed, staring in the middle space. My face was covered in red crying marks even though my tears had dried hours ago. Maddie was the most annoying person I knew. But she was still my sister. So when I heard my mom call the police and later came to me all teary eyed telling that Maddie had disappeared, I had started the long process if sulking in my room. My cell phone beeped. I got a text.
Unknown: Wanna keep her alive? Don't get the police involved and follow my instructions.
Under was a picture of a girl lying on the ground. I couldn't see her face but I knew it was Maddie. I panicked. Was she hurt? What did this person mean by instructions? I texted all my dance friends.
Kenzie: did you guys get it?
Nia: Yes😭
Paige: meet me at my house asap
I put my phone in my pocket, grapped my hoodie, slipped on my pink converse and ran out to the rainy street. I texted my mom I would be at the Hyland's house and turned on the Hyland's homestreet.
