"why did it have to be 8 in the morning, I had a whole thing going on last night, I slept for three hours Nagisaaa, your girlfriend is so crueell" Karma whined walking up the familiar path up the mountain
It was the day of their second reunion
And Kayano told them if they didn't arrive at 8 am they would be dead meat
"Karma enough with the whole girlfriend thing, and listen if you're that tired you can sleep at one of the desks when we get there"
"But the desks were never comfortable to begin with nagisaaaaa"
Nagisa swears , his best friend acts like a three year old sometimes,
But he's used to it
Who wouldn't? Nagisa was stuck with this behavior for years now, ever since highschool.
They walked for a few more minutes and finally they reached the top
"We're here again" Nagisa said with a soft smile
"Yeah, here again, now don't just stand there, open the door peasant" Karma mocked
"Well excuse me your majesty" The two turned around to see a familiar female
"Hey, Kayano" Nagisa greeted her
"Hey to you too"
Karma just waved at her and let her walk past them
"Now if you'll both excuse me, I'll open the doors for you know, wouldn't want these little boys getting splinters now would we?" She chuckled and went inside quickly
Earning a shout from Karma claiming he was a grown adult and could take care of himself
Nagisa begged to differ
"Seriously your girlfriend's really mean.."
"My gir- " Nagisa's eyes wide. "KAYANO isn't mean"
"OHohoOhHOho what was that my sweet Nagisa? I thought I heard something for a second " Nagisa didn't even have to look to know that Karma had a big grin on his face yet again
"shut up.." walking ahead of the red head and entering the door
"Oh come on wait up Nagisa, I know you're eager to see your gIrlFrIenD but that doesn't mean you can just leave me behind!"
"SHUT"
After a few minutes other people started arriving
"It's nice to see you guys again too" Nagisa greeted them
Karma was just busy napping in his old desk
Said to wake him up when they were gonna do some cleaning and was too tired to greet everybody
As of now, the group of ex class 3-E students just wanted to catch up for a while
"So Nagisa, how's life being a teacher turning out for you?" Touka asked him
"Very stressful" He chuckled
"But it doesn't show!" kayano chirped in
"Even when he is he still is cheerful when you talk to him and his place is so clean, you don't see stressed people cleaning their houses like he does"
Now if Nagisa wasn't too shy to admit it
Kayano praising him feel something, it wasn't bad though
"Look at you, being so proud of him~" Nakamura teased
"Of course I am! I'm proud of all of you! We're still thriving, heck I know life being an adult is stuff but we made it through just fine didn't we?"
"You can say that again, all the business meetings, you can't even enjoy simple things sometimes" Okuda said sighing
"Exactly! See this is why we needed a get together, we need some sense of enjoyment for once" Kayano said proudly
Nagisa couldn't agree more
They needed this
He needed this
He feels like a highschool student again
Seeing all of them get together like this
And her, it wasn't even obvious that she aged one bit, atleast that's how Nagisa saw her
Except for her hair, and a little bit of her height, Kayano was still Kayano
The girl he was with in highschool
The girl he was so comfortable to be with, she's still there
And Nagisa was happy because of that
Really really happy
"Naigisa? You there bud?" He was cut out of his thoughts when Maehera's voice suddenly appeared right next to him
"Yeah, yeah, sorry I was just thinking of a few things, did you need anything?"
"Yeah, umm, can you help us look for some old cloths to wipe the windows? I know we had them here somewhere"
"Yeah, ofcourse, I'm pretty sure they're in the clinic" Nagisa replied
Right , he really shouldn't space out like this, it's getting concerning how he can be lost in his train of thoughts and not know what's going on around him
-atleast that's what some teachers say about him
He opened the door to their mini clinic
"Wow, can't remember the last time I've been here"Maehera said
"Ya know, last time Kayano made a mess around here, Isogai and Itona had to clean it up while they were bandaging her"
"Bandaging her?" concern grew in his voice
"Oh yeah, I guess we never told you huh? Last time we were her some glass broke and it scraped Kayano's arm, it was t that bad, but I guess it hurt a lot cuz she was looking frantically for the band aids here"
Thinking of Kayano being hurt made Nagisa feel weird
"She got hurt.."
Maehera could see the concern in his eyes and smiled
"You really care about miss actress don't you?"
"Ofcourse she's my bestfriend.."
"Nagisa, let's be honest here, do you really see her just as a friend? I don't think you do"
"I don't know what to think Maehera, calling her friend is the safest option for now"
"Yeah I guess so, now where are those cloths.."
