Before you start reading this, I just wanna say that I DON'T KNOW A THING ABOUT TUMORS AND ALL THAT STUFF. I'VE NEVER READ OR SEEN ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I DON'T HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA ABOUT HOW IT'S CURED OR TREATED OR ANYTHING. I SERIOUSLY DON'T KNOW A THING. AND TBH I WAS TOO LAZY TO GO LOOK FOR INFORMATION BECAUSE WE'RE NOT GOING DEEP INTO THE MATTER ANYWAYS, SO. JUST KEEP THAT IN MIND WHILE READING THIS. I KNOW NOTHING.
THANK YOU, NOW YOU CAN GO ON AND READ THE CHAP.
HOPE YOU ENJOY...

"Because I'm dying, damn it!" Varun growled.
Alia was too shocked to say anything, what Varun just threw at her made her speechless to the point that nothing was able to come out of her mouth, but when she spoke, a "W- what?!" was all that came out.
"I'm dying, that's why I broke up with you and that's why I moved here." Varun's voice got calmer as he saw the state Alia was in.
He just figured yelling and screaming wouldn't either of them any good.
"What do you mean you're dying Varun? W-what? How?" Alia's voice broke as she let each word out, eyes tearing up already at the idea that she might lose her one and only love.
"Let's just sit and I'll explain everything." Varun slowly reached out to hold her hand, and Alia let him, as he pulled her gently with him and sat down, pulling her down to sit facing him.
He kept his hold on both her hands, as he took them in his, caressing her knuckles with his thumbs before he looked up to meet her eyes and started explaining.
"So, I have a tumor in my brain. A brain tumor. And the doctor I went to in India had told me that there's only a 30% chance of the treatment actually working. 70% of the time, it doesn't, and the people with the same problem end up dying." Varun explained, his heart breaking at the tears that were making their way down her cheeks.
"Pl- please tell me that's not t- true. You ca- can't die V- Varun.." Alia cried.
Varun couldn't help but pull her to his chest, his eyes tearing up as well, as he hugged her to him and she clutched to him as if her life depended on it, which she thought it did.
"Unfortunately, that's the truth." Varun replied, his voice cracking.
They stayed in that position for a while, just taking in each other's presence and warmth, both holding on to one another as if one of them would disappear if the other one let go.
They stayed there, sitting on the couch, in each other's arms, Alia's head leaning on Varun's chest as her tears were dried now, leaving just the stains on hier cheeks.
After Alia had calmed down, she pulled away from Varun and sat up straighter to look at him as he looked at her sadly.
"How long have you known this for?" She asked him, as he reached to wipe the remaining of tear stains on her - now - pink cheeks.
"It's been almost 8 months since I've known. I got to know about it after my accident." Varun replied.
"But.. the doctor had told us that day that you were okay. It was just your arm and leg that hurt. He didn't tell us anything about a brain tumor?!" Alia said, confused.
"Because there wasn't anything sure. They did all tests on me but nothing was clear. But after Deepee's wedding, I had went back to the doctor and talked to him about those headaches I was having and then he told me that he had been meaning to call me. Turns out the tumor was what was causing the headaches." Varun explained, as easy as he could.
