Jade pov:
"Of course he's not coming..." I mumbled after a while, closing my books and I shoved my notebook in my bag.
"Am I late?" a voice said and I looked up, seeing Harry walk towards me.
"Huh... you came by..." I mumbled and Harry smirked.
"Not happy to see me?"
"Define happy." I said as I zipped my backpack shut.
"I take that as a no..." he mumbled and I looked at him.
"The library is closing in ten minutes, I texted you an hour ago."
"I got in some trouble on the way here. Your dear cousim Jay, was pissing me off."
I looked at him as I quickly got up.
"Where's Jay?"
"Does it matter?"
"Harry I swear if you hurt him I-"
"Relax, he's fine. Besides a bruised ego."
I glared at Harry.
"You're annoying and mean."
"Thanks."
I couldn't help but chuckle a bit as I picked uo my backpack.
"Well, as I said. Library is closing soon, so yea... you didn't do anything about the project, so far." I said as I wanted to leave.
I had to, despite I like him, I had to be determined not to do this project entirely on my own.
"Just because the library closes doesn't mean we can't study." Harry said and I turned back to him.
"You, studying?"
I scoffed and he stepped closed to me, making me swallow.
"I could make an exception for you?" he said and I felt a bit uncomfortable.
"I... Maybe another time." I said as I left.

"He what?" Reza said through the phone.
"He did show up, saying he'd make an exception for me. What does that even mean?" I asked as I was calling Reza on the way back to my dorm.
"It means that he likes you."
"He doesn't. I mean why would he?"
"Girl, look in the mirror. You're pretty, you're out of luck that I'm only into boys."
"Oh really funny. Yea, helpfull. I got to go."
"Ask him for cotillion!" Reza said before I hung up.
He's kind, but annoying. On a better way then Harry.
I put my phone in my pocket and entered my dorm, I wasn't sharing my dorm since there was an uneven amount of girls, luckily for me.
I walked to my closet and looked at my mom's dress, it's in the traditional style of Agrabah and I loved it. I have always loved it...
My father gave it to me when she died and I always treasured it. I never dared to wear it, but Reza told me to put it on for cotillion...
Still wasn't sure about it.
My hand slid over the soft and silk fabrics as a weak smile appeared on my face.
"Make your mother proud..." I said softly, it's what my father told me before I went to Auradon prep.
I took a deep breath and put the dress back into the closet.
Cotillion was two more weeks away, two more weeks to decide if I'd wear it or not...

The next day started roughly.
Evie was talking hundreds about cotillion during chemistry and I looked at her.
"What's the big deal of cotillion anyway?" Harry asked before I could.
"What's the big deal of cotillion- I- It's one of the biggest events here in Auradon!" Evie said and I snorted softly.
"Why that's sad. Jay said it was on a boat and that was it." I said and Doug looked at me.
"It's with the meaning behind it. It's a long story... But these days it's mostly used to just... celebrate a bit." he said and Evie smiled.
"And the best part is that like last year, I got plenty work to do with making dresses for the girls."
I looked at Evie.
"Count me out of that."
"What? Why?" Evie asked, even Harry and Doug looked at me with questioning looks.
"Because I already have a dress... It used to belong to my mom... I didn't wear it before and I thought it would be a good moment to finally wear it." I explained and Doug looked at me.
"Used to... So your mom died?"
"Doug-!" Evie sissed and I looked at Doug.
"Yea... She died... Killed actually..." I mumbled and Harry looked at me, he didn't make a single coment yet.
"I'm sorry..." he mumbled and I looked at him.
"It's fine... Can we talk abiut something else?" I said softly and the teacher walked in at that moment.
"Probably the project..." Evie mumbled and I grabbed my notebook out of my backpack, the one I used while working on the project the previous day at the library.
"How much did you-?" Harry asked softly as I flipped through the notebook but he was cut off by the teacher.
"Some attention over here, the projects are due next friday. I expect the final works to be handed in on paper. The final essay's have to be five pages, minimum." he said and Evie scoffed.
"Only five?" she said softly and Doug motioned her to be quiet.
Luckily, the teacher didn't hear her.
"Five whole pages about a bloodly project... Dear seagods..." Harry mumbled and I looked at him.
"Says the guy who hasn't done a single thing yet."

"So, are you excited for cotillion?" Evie asked me as the two of us were walking to meet up with the rest of the core four.
"I... I don't know... My friend Reza has been trying to make me ask my crush out... as date for cotillion."
"Hm, your crush huh?"
"You already know who he is, don't you?"
"I might have a suspicion yes..."
"And that is?"
"Harry?"
"Got it in once..."
"Oh, my, gosh. Your friend Reza is right, you got to ask him!"
"Are you nuts?!"
"Oh come on..."
"No, I can't. And you're not going to tell him that I like him!"
"Okay, fine. Can I at least help you with preparing to at least tell Harry how you feel?"
"Depends on."
Evie squealed a little.
"Project lovebird, starting!" she said with excitement and she pulled me along to her little cottage (Evie4Hearts) before I could even refuse.
