The gang was on the road again and Dennis was peacefully sleeping in his car seat.
"Chocolate cereal, are you kidding me?" Dracula asked.
"It's actually really good" Valerie said, when Frank poked her shoulder holding up a bag of candy from Dennis's backpack with a smile, as if asking if it was okay to eat it, she just waved it off.
(i actually wouldn't know what Count Chocula tastes like we don't have that where i live but it's chocolate, so how bad can it be?)
"It's okay Drac, it's cause they love us" Frank added in as he chewed on some candy he found in Dennis's backpack.
"Yeah, monsters are what's going on" Murray said.
"Oh yeah, you should embrace it like i did, i've got a best selling workout video" Griffin boasted.
Valerie guessed it was only a best seller cause of the invisible man's brand and not because it was any good.
"That's not me guys" Dracula said.
"Come on, even Bigfoot's tearing it up in the German soccer league" Frank pointed out, although Bigfoot's big feet alone were enough to block the whole goal post.
Then Dracula's cell started ringing "Oh no, oh, no, no, no, it's Mavis" he said seeing the caller id.
"You gotta answer it" Wayne said, and Dracula tapped with the tip of his long nails, again.
Valerie sighed a little "Like i showed you Drac, like i showed you" she echoed for what felt like the hundredth time, it just never sunk in.
"Oh right" Dracula laughed sheepishly "Denisovich, wake up, oh boy he's out cold" he then said.
"I got this" Griffin said pulling out a pair of sunglasses and putting them on Dennis before Dracula answered the call.
"Dad, what took so long?" Mavis asked.
"Nothing, Mavey, we're all great here at the hotel just doing hotel things" Dracula said to Mavis before turning to Wayne who was panting in his ear "Sorry, can't handle your breath" he said.
"I hear ya" Wayne said before leaning back.
"How are you?" Dracula asked turning to Mavis.
"We're having a blast, we just went biking and mini-marting, it's so fun here, is Dennis okay?" Mavis asked.
"Oh of course, you wanna see him?" Dracula asked.
"Yes, yes i do" Mavis said as Dracula turned the phone to Dennis, being held up by Griffin, "Hi baby how are you?" she asked.
"Mommy, i happy" Griffin said doing an impression of Dennis while Wayne reached from the back to drive the car.
"Aw" Mavis awwes before Johnny popped up on the screen "Hey little dude" he greeted before focusing on the road.
"Why is he wearing sunglasses?" Mavis asked.
"Oh, we were playing, it's a superhero thing" Dracula made the first excuse he could think of.
"Cebause i'm Sunglasses Man, to the rescue" Griffin said flying Dennis around.
"You sound funny" Mavis pointed out.
"That's just his sunglasses man voice, anyway don't worry Mavis, i'm here watching like Dennis like a mamma hawk, but we should get back to it" Valerie said hanging up the call before putting Dennis back in his seat.
"Wow, i nailed it with the sunglasses man, right off the top of my head" Griffin said taking the wheel back from Wayne "I threw in a "cebause" did everyone see that?" he asked.
