Chapter 3 ~meet~

Blackpink Kim Jisoo was confirmed to star in her first lead role for the upcoming drama Snowdrop.

Haein shows his phone to the director with the article in full display, they were having dinner together as the director personally invited Haein to eat so that he could convince the man to join in the drama.

When Haein got the call from Director Jo Hyun-Tak who first brought up the idea to play the North Korean Spy Im Sooho, he was hesitant. It was an interesting idea and would bring his acting skills to a new light. But he was already filming D.P, and the thought of playing his past life felt weird to him. He could easily play the role of a man in love with his female co-stars, but he didn't think he could play the role of Im Sooho if the female lead was someone else. It felt like he was playing with the feelings of his past life, so he rejected the role.

However the director was persistent, and Haein was intent on rejecting him again when he was invited for dinner. But, his brother sent him a message and an article.

Hae-jun: Bro! You got to accept the role of the north spy! Invite me to the set as well! Look at who the female lead is! Please my girlfriend will kill ME if you don't accept it!

When Haein read the article he didn't know what to feel, Kim Jisoo was playing Eun Youngro. She was going to play her past life, does she remember the past as he did? Does she know that Director Jo wants him to play Im Sooho? Does she know that he was Im Sooho?

One thing for sure, if Kim Jisoo was playing her past life there was no way he was allowing someone else to play his.

So as he shows the article to the director Haein asking for confirmation about the news "Sir, is this true?"

Director Jo saw the title of the article Haein was showing, it was about Kim Jisoo playing the lead role. He nodded, "Yes, Jisoo-ya will be playing Eun Youngro, and let me tell you Haein-ssi she is a natural! It's like she is Eun Youngro herself"

Probably cause she is.

Haein bit his bottom lip, while he knows that Jisoo is Youngro, he was a bit hesitant and worried over her skills as an actress, her first lead role. He saw the comments under the article who doubts her skills in acting. And he was worried about how the show is going to be. He read the script and Youngro was a complex character.

But he does have faith in her, he always wanted to see her act.

'You could be an actress, not a singer though'

Haein snickers as he remembers their past life and the words he told her. Now she's an idol to the biggest girl group in the world. An idol stepping into the world of acting.

"She must be really skilled then for you to cast a rookie actress," he tells the director.

Director Jo smiles, "You will be blown away from her performance Haein-ssi, but please consider the role, we created a schedule on when and how the filming will be. You don't need to be there in the first days of filming as we can film other parts first. With this, it won't clash with your other works" He tells the man as he puts down the schedule plan he made with the staff.

The director, staff, and writers can only see Jung Haein as the role for Im Sooho, they needed to convince him no matter what.

Haein picks up the pieces of papers placed in front of him and studied them carefully, he sees the amount of effort they placed in the scriptwriting, the production budget, the sponsors they plan to pull, and their generosity in giving him a proper filming schedule that would fit his perfectly.
