Black and White

"im 22... how haven't i met my soulmate yet. You've met yours, damon. I didn't think that was possible." i said complaining.
I was stuck in a black and white reality until i met my soulmate. anyone would complain, it's boring, really.
"well if you're gonna be a brat, i can't sympathize for you," he stuck his tongue out playfully.
"good. i never asked for your sympathy anyway." i crossed my arms turning away from him.
he rolled his eyes at me and turned me back around.
"elena and i were meant for each other," he started. "i saw color before i even knew what she looked like. before i knew her name." he paused a second.
"and?"
he looked down at the floor before making eye contact again. "she doesn't even remember it. she sees color and doesn't even remember why."
i looked away. i hoped he had known he wasn't helping my cause at all with his sob stories.

Damon's POV

trying to break bailey bennett out of her desperate need to meet her soulmate so bad was difficult. I know how it feels to want your world to be in color... i had to live through centuries to find elena. 170 years... literally centuries. but i know who her soulmate is and everything that can be done to save her from meeting him has to be done. He was stuck in a prison world anyway. He wouldn't be able to get out if he tried. at least that's what we all thought
Malachai Parker wasn't capable of being anyone's soulmate. i wasn't going to let him test her out. none of us were.
