A week after Mae got out of the hospital, she moved from Blake's house to her new apartment.
Mae was so excited because she finally had something to call her own.
"Okay April, mommy is going to take a shower and we are off to the store."
The baby just looked at her and smiled.
Mae sent Blake divorce papers the day she got out of the hospital. She thought that he would sign them and give them to her since they were still living together, but that didn't happen. Now it's been two weeks and still no divorce papers.
Mae just didn't understand why he wouldn't sign them so he could live happy, perfect life with Jessica? She needed him to sign those papers.
Mae put April in her carseat so she wouldn't fall off the bed and took a quick 10 mintue shower.
After putting on jeans and a t-shirt, she strapped April in the backseat and left.
Mae took her maternity leave the day her water broke.
When Mae got to the store, it took her forever to find certain things but eventually she found them. She was getting her last thing on her list when she saw this guy.
He looked so confused.
Blake was at the store trying to find certain things on his list.
He knew nothing about shopping because Mae always did that, he knew nothing about cooking because Mae did all of that.
Blake saw this woman with a baby on the same aisle and he went over to ask her where the sauces were.
Blake tapped this woman on the shoulder not knowing it was Mae.
When Mae looked up, she said nothing.
"Umm...hey Mae."
"Hi."
Blake looked over at April and smiled a little.
"Is there something I can help you with Blake."
"Do you know where the umm sauces are?"
"Aisle 5."
Blake missed Mae.
He missed her cooking, smile, and laugh.
Blake saw the papers, but he isn't going to sign them.
He was still in love with Mae.
Of course he wanted her back after she left and got tired of his bullshit.
Jessica left because she met an even richer man.
Gold digger of course.
"So what's her name?"
Mae didn't even realize he was still standing there.
"April."
"Oh..."
Mae was about to walk away when Blake asked her, "How are you?"
Mae has never been a disrespectful person, but she was angry.
Now he cared, now he wanted to know about the baby.
Mae just walked away.
After Mae paid for her groceries, she went home.
After Blake got home, he went back to work.
He sat at his desk and looked at the picture of Mae on it.
Blake started reminising about their wedding day.
*Flashback*
Mae was so nervous.
She was going to marry the man she is deeply in love with.
Blake was just as nervous.
Their wedding was not a traditional wedding.
There was no bridesmaid, no groomesmen, and there was only 5 people there.
Mae, Blake, Blake's grandparents, and the pastor.
Blake's grandparents, Mary and Devon, were the only people who approved of their marriage.
The music started playing, the doors opened, and Mae walked down the aisle.
Blake started crying as he stared at his beautiful soon to be wife.
When Mae got up there, they grabbed each other's hands and the service started.
Dearly beloved, we are gathered together here, in the sight of God, and in the presence of these witnesses, to join together this man and this woman, in holy matrimony; which is an honorable estate, instituted by God, and signifying unto us the mystical union which exists between Yeshua Ha Mashiakh and his Church; The holy estate Yeshua adorned and beautified with his presence in Cana of Galilee. It is therefore not to be entered into unadvisedly, but reverently, discreetly, and in the eyes of God. Into this holy estate these two persons come now to be joined. If any here can show just cause why they may not lawfully be joined together, let them now speak, or else hereafter forever hold their peace.
I require and charge you both, as you stand in the presence of God, before whom the secrets of all hearts are disclosed, that, having duly considered the holy covenant you are about to make, you do now declare before this company your pledge of faith, each to the other. Be well assured that if these solemn vows are kept inviolate, as God's Word demands, and if steadfastly you endeavor to do the will of your heavenly Father and earthly Mother, God will bless your marriage, will grant you fulfillment in it, and will establish your home in peace.
Blake, will you have this woman to be your lawful wedded wife, to live together in the holy bonds of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others, keep thee only unto her so long as ye both shall live?
"I do."
Mae, will you have this man to be your lawful wedded husband, to live together in the holy bonds of matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others, keep thee only unto him so long as ye both shall live?
"I do."
Blake's grandfather handed him Mae's ring and he handed Mae Blake's ring.
Blake put Mae's ring on and Mae did the same.
You may kiss the bride, and may Peace be forever with you.
*Flashback Ended*
Blake started crying repeating over and over, "Why did I do this to her?"
Blake had to try and get Mae back.
And he would do whatever it took.
Whatever.
