I am not sure how long I slept, but when I woke up it was bright in the room. Alcide wasn't in the bed.

I got out of bed and stretched. I could hear chatter coming from down stairs.

I got to the bottom of the stairs. Amelia, Luke, and Alcide were all sitting on the couch.

"Finally! Your awake. Alcide said to let you rest and that I couldn't come wake you up. Can you still speak?" she asked while jumping off the couch and coming over to me.

"Yes I can still speak"

She gave me a thankful smile.

"Just making sure" She pulled me to the couch.

"How long was I asleep?" I asked

"Well its about 1 in the afternoon so I'd say well over 13 hours" Alcide said.

"Why'd you let me sleep so late?"

"I figured your body was exhausted from all the excitement and everything"

I mean he wasn't wrong. I was exhausted.

"Well good afternoon Bree" Beth said as she entered the living room. "are you well rested?"

"Yes thank you." I replied.

"Good. I don't mean to be a damper on the mood but your father would like to speak to us all...all of us"

We sat down at a table in the library.

"I hope your feeling better Bree." King Michael said "You gave us all a bit of a scare" he gestured to everyone.

The King was worried about me. Wow.

"While you were unconscious, we took a better look at your necklace" Beth handed it me.

It felt so different in my hands. I don't think I have actually ever held it. I ran my fingers over the embroidered symbols that were more visible then before.

"Do you know what was in it? What it says" I asked.

"Well, according to Alcide, when it opened...a bright light came out of it...and now you have your voice back, so I'm assuming your voice was trapped in there" Beth trailed off.

"Trapped? How did it even get in there?" I asked

"We don't know. But I do know that these symbols are from an old language from a coven of withches. They were run off from this land many many years ago. So, to see it here. It makes me wonder if we missed a couple of them. Have you seen these markings before other then your necklace?"

"I don't think so...wait... this one. I-I don't know where I've seen it before but it looks...familiar" I pointed to one symbol

Beth starred at me in disbelief

"Are you sure it was this symbol?" she asked hesitantly while glancing at Alcide

"Its the only one I maybe recognize, yes? Why?" I was being to be worried.

She sat back in her chair and I could tell she was hard at work thinking.

"Can someone please tell me what's going on!" I demanded.

"Does the phrase death isn't the end for power, power flows to flower. When flower dies power flows to beholder mean anything to you?" she asks

I shook my head no. "I don't understand what's going on"

The King cleared his throat then spoke.

"We're not sure either. We are trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together as well. From what I've gathered from the Journal of Kings which is a book passed down from Alpha King to Alpha King and what Beth has dug up on the matter. Not much is known about this language or the witches who used it. However, many previous Kings have stated that they were not cooperative and wish sickness on the packs which is why they were forced out of this land"

"Okay? and?" I lead on

King Michael looked at Beth and then to Alcide.

Beth turned to me, "The last time these symbols were seen, the last time this symbol you pointed out was seen, it was on some of the skulls and rubble of the Blue Moon pack" she looked at me concerned.

"Yeah I've heard about them. They were the leading pack until something mysteriously happened and everyone died and the power was transferred to the next strongest pack right"

"Hun, that was 19 years ago..." Beth stated

"Okay?" I puzzled.

"You don't think its weird how your 19, you were "found", you didn't have a voice and a magical necklace that has been sealed shut has the same symbol as the murder of an entire pack??" Alcide coaxed.

I began to feel hot. I grabbed onto the table. I could hear faint screams. I blinked and it was like a film filled my eyes. I saw flashes of lights and dark. They were images but they were fuzzy and flashing to fast.

"what's happening" I could just faintly hear someone say past the ringing in my ears.

A whooshing sound grew louder. I felt like I was falling and then I was pushed back...

"Are you okay? What happened?

I opened my eyes. I was looking up at everyone standing over me. I tried to sit up.

"Easy" Alcide said as he knelt down beside me.

"what happened?" I asked.

"I don't know you tell us" Amelia said

"I don't know?"

"You got all red and your eyes started glowing and then you flew back out of your chair" Alcide said.

Alcide helped me stand up.

"Yeah. I-I saw something...It was fuzzy it was like I was watching a movie or something and I could hear like faint screams. Were any of you screaming?" I looked around as everyone shook their heads no.

"No one screamed Bree. Could you make out anything?" Alcide said.

I shut my eyes and tried to remember.

"I see something. Its like a umm a stone wall and theirs something blue and I see--" I shot open my eyes. "I saw the symbol. It was etched into the wall" I blurted out.

"what was that?" I asked. I looked to Beth to see if she had any kind of answer on her face.

"I could only think that maybe its like a memory, a suppressed memory that you are just now remembering"

"Okay what does it mean"

"I don't know" she says softly.

"I wonder" the King spoke up. "What if she was there that night and is remembering the fall? What if she went back there would it help or would she see anything?

"I suppose its a possibly to see if the two are connected." Beth pondered.

"You want her to do what?" Alcide growled.

"She wouldn't be in any danger. Just go an look around and see if she recognizes anything." King Michael said.

I looked to Alcide. "Its worth a shot yeah?" I said.

"I guess, but this stays between us. No one else is to know we are leaving the house" Alcide said

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"Just curious though...what does the symbol mean" I asked.

Beth looked worried. She didn't even look up at me. "Death" she whispered.
