The girls listened for more hiccuping.

"Well what do you know. I don't have the hiccups anymore" said Jeff.

"That's wonderful!" Patty cheered.

"Let's listen to see if Murray got rid of his hiccups too" said Cathy.

At first nothing happened.

"I think I did" said Murray.

But then he hiccuped again.

"Gee, Muzza. Sounds like you still have the hiccups" said Patty.

"And the show's about to start" said Greg.

"Oh, that makes things harder" said Patty.

"What am I gonna do?" said Murray sadly.

"Murray. Don't give up" said Anthony.

"It's showtime soon. You guys should go on without me" Murray hiccuped.

"Oh, poor Murray" said Cathy.

"What else could we do?" said Jeff.

"I still think what I thought before. Say pineapple" said Patty.

"Patty, the last time you suggested that, Murray's hiccups got worse and spread" said Cathy.

"Yeah, Patty. And I think the cure is to eat pineapple rather than say it" said Anthony.

"Oh yeah! Eat pineapple. Do you guys have any?" said Patty.

"We sure do" said Jeff.

He ran inside and brought a pineapple to Murray.

Murray tossed the pineapple in the air and caught it in his mouth gobbling it up.

"Well? Has it worked?" said Cathy.

"Let's listen" said Patty.

The gang listened for a minute and nothing happened.

"My hiccups are gone! Thank you, Patty and Cathy" said Murray.

"Our pleasure" said Cathy.

"Now you better hurry to your show or you'll miss it" said Patty.
