Synopsis
Lyra Potter was once known as Lyra Mikaelson, twin sister to Hope Mikaelson and daughter to Hayley Marshall and Klaus Mikaelson. That was until she was about 7 years old, when they abandoned her in the middle of New Orleans, during winter. She was lost and didn't know what to do, until she ran into a nice family, who was on holiday there for Christmas.
Euphemia and Fleamont Potter wanted to help get the young girl back to her parents, until they realised that she had been abandoned. So they decided to take her back to England with them and give her a proper family. They treated her as if she were their own and James, their son, treated Lyra like she was his true sister.
Sirius Black grew up in Pureblood family, who always tried to project their ideals of hating anything to do Muggles onto him and his younger brother. However, Sirius didn't take in their ideals and became the black sheep of his family. Being the first Gryffindor in a family of Slytherins and befriending muggle-borns and 'blood traitors'.
What happens when Lyra and Sirius take the step from friendship to something more? What happens when Lyra's old family decides they want to be part of her life, all of a sudden? Will she crumble, or will she come out stronger than ever?
