#3 | The Morning of your birthday

You feel someone rattling your shoulder gently attempting to wake you up. Your eyelids part a bit and the brightness in the room tries to wake you further but you still find yourself half asleep amongst the white comfortable covers. Your eyes slowly flicker open as you notice a blurry face centimetres from yours. You can just about manage to make out the person overlooking you from your cocoon of covers sandy coloured hair, dark brown eyes. Your eyes adjust and you soon realise.

Its your boyfriend, Thomas. You keep forgetting that he has recently moved in with you. He leans over you with a big grin spreading across his face. His grin instantly reminds you what day it is, your birthday. You stare into his eyes and he stares back. A smile grows along both of your faces seconds later and he bursts into a small laugh. Thomas bends his head down and plants a small kiss on your cheek which was over before you knew it.

"Happy Birthday Love"

he says charmingly. The small smile on your face grew larger and Thomas began to slip off his side of the bed and make way down the hallway leading to the kitchen and arrives seconds later with a load of presents wrapped in his arms.
