SUMMARY

Lorelai Miller had never felt so lost in time. With the life of her cousin being taken, the man hidden six feet under in the graveyard by her old home, Rory was left stranded in Small Heath. Of course, being stranded wasn't quite what she believed, but it was what she felt. The Peaky Blinders were more than happy for her to hang around, but yet she still felt like a burden on them, especially when there's nowhere else for her to go.

John Shelby strongly disagreed with her sentiments. Regardless of what anyone else thought, he didn't think she was a burden, didn't think she deserved to worry about her upkeep in The Garrison. But she continued to insist on paying rent and working shifts, and it baffled him immensely.

So when the events are switched around, the woman no longer being able to live above the pub, Rory's nothing but surprised to find far too many offers on places to live. Suddenly it appears that even Small Heath's most irrelevant are still just as happy to accommodate her six months on than they were when she first arrived.

And that was only one of the many things John liked about her.
