2 Months Later

Everything is relatively back to normal. 'Normal' is a subjective word.

Spike hadn't left Amber's side once while she was recovering. She got better with time, as did Dawn. Spike is beyond happy to say they're both healed and Dawn seems to be over the fact that she was (or is) 'the key'. With Glory gone, it is a weight lifted off her shoulders - like she can get on with her life.

Amber sits comfortably on Spike's lap in the crypt's armchair, an ancient record player whirring in the background. She had been so frail and achy that this was the first time they had had proper physical contact since what felt like forever.

He whispers sweet nothings into her ear, while she giggles like a school girl. How she missed him.

Nobody had thought it would work out.

Not even her at first.

But the way he looks at her. The way Spike says her name. How he kisses her and calls her 'love'. Everything about him is so...

Bloody brilliant.

She smiles to herself, just laying there, eyelids drooping. Spike takes her hand and strokes his thumb against the back of hers. She turns up to face him and he pecks her on the cheek.

Bloody brilliant.
