Where have you been? All my life..
Lance Brown touched down Barbados today. He couldn't believe it himself. He was back for Emerald. He couldn't continue on without her as much he'd tried to. He'd told Emerald to meet him at the spot on the beach they'd first met. Where they'd had their first date, shared their first kiss and much more. Where Lance admired her from far, where it was love at first sight. It was only right their reconciliation was shared at such an intimate moment for the two of them.
He'd arrived. And there she was rising up and looking up at him. Like a siren, an exotic endangered mermaid laying still beside the waters. Waiting to be found, to be captured by him. Was he going to catch and keep her for good this time? Emerald's beautiful skin was illuminated by the sun, pink pursed lips curving into a smile. He'd came back for his treasure; he couldn't live without her.
"Emerald!" Lance exclaimed as he yelled in excitement. Overwhelmed with joy he was so happy to see his Island Goddess.
"Lance!" Emerald yelled back as she stood to her feet and Lance picked her up as soon as he reached her. The two laughed together, Emerald's legs around Lance's torso as she clung onto him.
"Fuck, I missed you." He said as he whispered in her ear then began planting kisses all over her face.
Emerald began blushing, feeling all the butterflies she used to feel when she was a teenager. He bought excitement and rushes she'd never felt before.
"I missed you so much!" Emerald said as she sniffed and closed her eyes. A tear rolled down her cheek. Lance hugged her tighter. Being separated from the only person who made you feel alive, who ignited a spark within you, it was torture. But now it was lit up again, in an instant.
Emerald placed her lips on Lance's. Sparks flying between the two, they deepened the kiss. Emerald rested her palm on Lance's cheek as she tilted her head. They continued hugging, then resuming kissing, then repeat. They kept laughing in between but they just couldn't believe it; it felt like pure bliss, almost too good to be true.
..
"Lance this feels like a dream. Mi cyant believe yuh here furreal.." Emerald admitted as she sat on the beach and squeezed his hand.
"I'm here Em. I'm really here." Was all Lance said before he took her hand and planted a kiss.
A man in board shorts and a vacation shirt approached the two. There wasn't many people at the waters today which was perfect for this moment.
"Finally.." Emerald whispered to herself. The man finally reached them and he escorted them to another side of the beach, Lance followed in confusion.
"Enjoy.." The man said as he motioned to the display on the right. A well put together picnic on the beach, the aroma of the food hit them instantly. Champagne, exotic island fruits and a few caribbean dishes.
"Wow.." Lance uttered out. "You beat me to it huh!?" He teased as he grabbed her and began tickling her, smothering Emerald with kisses.
She burst into laughter now begging him to stop tickling. Once she got herself away from his hold she gave him glare. "Calm down! You been all over me bwoy!" She teased.
Lance just rolled his eyes, pulled her close and grabbed her ass; squeezing it. She got on her tip toes and pecked his lips.
He slapped her ass again then grabbed a handful. "Damn.." He uttered. "You got thick.. who's been feeding you and taking good care of you? " He said as he rose a brow. "You're glowing too. More beautiful than ever.."
She laughed and shrugged. But he didn't laugh, he was serious. There was something different with Emerald. Sure, it'd been some years but she had matured a lot and gotten way more attractive. The type of glow you get when someone is in love and getting treated good.
"None. The food ah get cold cmon now." She dismissed the topic.
"Hmmm." He was curious now.
"What, yuh think if yuh leave me I'm supposed to get ugly or sad? Nah Lance. I will always look and do good!" She said. He smiled as he admired her while she got their plates and food ready. 'What a woman.' He thought to himself. He missed that island bad gyal attitude, those American girls bored him.
Lance sat beside her and Emerald put on some reggae, the sounds of the waves in the background. She popped a bottle of champagne and poured some into two champagne flutes.
She handed him his champagne flute and she took hers. "To... me and you. Welcome back Lance." she said as she held her glass up.
"To the love of my life, the woman of my dreams. Oh how I missed you, Emerald." Lance said as he clinked her glass against his. She blushed hard, butterflies erupting.
They leaned in, closing the space between them. Lips locking, sun setting, the sound of waves, reggae and bubbly. This was the start to their next chapter; Lance and Emerald were resuming unfinished business.
