Emerald groaned as she was shook one more time, followed by a light slaps to the face. She instantly rose up off her bed, eyebrows furrowed as she pushed the first person in reach, Mel.Mel screeched and tumbled backwards as she erupted into laughter; however Emerald wasn't amused.
"Rasshole! Guh do me like dat one more time n me go fuh you up!" Emerald yelled out of irritation as she shook her head, wiping sleep out of her eyes.
Melissa laughed as she opened the curtains wider, then grabbed her porridge from the small table and began eating it.
"If yuh know what yuh be saying in yuh nassy dream den you wont be cussin me out.." Melissa rose a brow as she smirked.
Emerald rolled her eyes as she got up from her bed and began folding her bedspread. She had no idea what she was on about, she'd completely forgotten her dreams, Mel must've slapped them out of her conscious.
"And what was that?" She questioned in curiosity as she fixed her pillow and now began tying up her hair in a bun. Emerald looked at her bestfriend who was smirking mischievously at her, she looked her up and down and rolled her eyes playfully.
"Basically, this wah yuh do whole night.." Melissa set down her plate on the bedside table as she looked at Emerald from across the room, then began her impersonation.
Melissa closed her eyes as she parted her lips. "Oh ye Lance, baby ye me like dat... mhmmm baby, harder go dee-"
Emerald's mouth was now wide agape and she instantly hurried to Melissa's side, slamming her hand on her mouth; heat rising at her cheeks as melissa's laughs were blocked by her hand.
When she finally pulled back, Em crossed her arms and shook her head.
"Ain no wey mih say dat in mih sleep.." She couldn't believe it. She didn't recall haven't sexual dreams about Lance, other times yes, but definitely not last night.
"Why me guh lie?" Melissa asked and Emerald remained silent because she knew she had a point.
The whole subject made Emerald feel awkward so she was quick to change it and hope Melissa would forget it too.
"Las night.. when mih come back from de date.. Ma and aunt friedah was waitin in de lounge.." She told her friend as she recalled the event last night. When it happened she was shocked but she also assumed that was what she deserved for lying to her mother like that. In her mind, she didn't see why being around Lance was bad, if anything it was the complete opposite. Emerald just wished her mother would see that too, but she'd already made quick assumptions.
Melissa's eyes widened and she covered her opened mouth as she shook her head and urged for her to continue. She instantly wished she would've been awake to defend her or think of some story; it was literally the two of them against her.
"Frieda wah watchin me an Lance at de beach.. came home an tol' ma.. then I when me get back soon as mih open door there they is, right in front of mih.." She said as she explained it all as if she was reliving it. Her heart had dropped as soon as she made eye contact with the two of them.
"Shiddd..." Melissa cussed lowly as she listened to her story.
"Gyal, when me tell yuh I almost ha heart attack!" She exclaimed and they both giggled softly.
"Ma saw mih love bites all up the neck, I couldn't lie, how even?"
Melissa instantly examined Emerald's neck to see the several hickeys as she raised a brow. "Ouuuuu, did ya get freak on at de beach?!"
Emerald laughed as she stuck her tongue out and they did their handshake.
"Almost, so nah.. An we Blame frieda for dat."
Melissa rolled her eyes at the thought of Emerald's obsessive and physco woman she called her aunty.
"But anyway how you an loveboy? You seeing him today?"
Emerald frowned as she shook her head.
"Ma told me to not see him..." She looked down as she thought about what her mother had said.
Melissa crossed her arms as she watched her bestfriend look all sad and depressed. She burst into laughter as she began clapping her hands and shaking her head. Emerald looked up, confused as to what was amusing.
"Ah ma gyal, good one!" She laughed once again as she continued to clap.
"Me like how yuh actin like you really not guh see him again! Emmy me know how stubborn yuh can be, and when yuh want someting you geit.."
Melissa knew herself that her mother's commands weren't going to stray her away from Lance, she was already in too deep and had developed feelings for him. There was no way she could resist him but she'd love to see her try.
Emerald shook her head in disagreement.
"'No, I have tuh forget him, I need tah do what's right.. yanno?"
