Ever since the night they went to the beach Ashton felt content in his relationship with Luke. Like nothing could tear them apart, which is ultimately what everyone wants. But when Calum and Michael left, they talked more about when they would do it. So, Luke suggested a nice dinner then afterwards is when they'd do it, Ashton happily agreed. Which led Luke to plan out how he was going to prepare, since it's both of their first time, he decided why not go all out? So he felt roses and candles were the way to go.
As Ashton woke up that morning to get ready for school, he always did this habit of opening the blinds just a little bit since he insisted the sunlight was good for Luke's pale body. But as he did so, a car parked in a red zone caught his eye. That was the main reason it stuck out to him, the other were the windows, seems a little too tinted compared to everyone else's. Ashton shrugged it off figuring they forgot to put their hazards on or something and went to get ready for school.
Minutes later Ashton climbed back in bed slightly shaking Luke to wake up like he always did.
"Babe. Wake up." Luke groaned softly pulling the covers over his face. The younger boy gently took them away and started peppering his face with kisses which made the older boy burst in a fit of giggles. "Okay my love I'm up, I'm up. Did you eat?"
"No, I was gonna eat at school."
"School breakfast is almost as shit as their lunches. I'll make you something real quick."
Even though David stopped bothering Ashton less now because of his new schedule, there was still some part of him that was scared that he'd come find him. But you can't escape the inevitable because when walking down the hallway at school, there David was, at his locker, waiting for him.
"Hey Ashton, long time no see, how's it going?" David exclaimed almost in a mocking manner. "Good." Ashton replied with a voice barely audible. He did his best to not stir up anything and kept his eyes away from David's while grabbing all the things for his first few classes. "Oh didn't anyone tell you it's rude not to make eye contact with someone when they're talking to you."
Ashton nervously looked up to meet David's eyes and when he did, a small smirk appeared on his face. "We're gonna go for a walk." He spoke slinging an arm around Ashton's shoulders practically forcing him to move. They made their way to the restroom, which gave Ashton flashbacks being in there from when he hit his head, a bad feeling formed in his stomach knowing nothing good was going to come from being back in there.
"W-why are we here?"
"Well, I needed to talk to you without everyone around."
Ashton furrowed his eyebrows as David inched closer to him, making the boy back up until his body hit the wall. "Are you going to the winter formal?" David asked, his face being inches away from Ashton's. "Yeah, with my boyfriend."
When mentioning Luke, something washed over in David's eyes, almost like anger. Like jealousy, but he couldn't be jealous of Ashton could he?
No time to think anymore when feeling a pair of lips on his own, Ashton's eyes widen as he stood there frozen not being able to fully comprehend what was happening in the first few seconds before finally pushing David away.
"W-what are you doing? I have a boyfriend."
"He's not here, I can treat you so much better Ashton. I wish you saw it, I always liked you." David confessed to which absolutely blew Ashton's mind. "H-how could you possible like me? Everyday y-you would bully me, hit me, call me names, I have a boyfriend who I really like and that will never be you. I could never like someone who's mean and a bully and—"
Before Ashton could finish his rant that stirred up a lot anger, David's fist collided with his cheek, fuming with rage David hovered over Ashton as he laid on the floor, a hand covering where the collision took place.
