"Do you think it's too early to ask him to be my boyfriend?" Luke asked suddenly. "How long have you guys been talking?" Michael asked. "Um, I think three weeks now? Almost a month if I'm correct." He answered. "Does it seem like he likes you? I mean I'm pretty sure he does, but what is it like texting him?"

"He seems like he likes me. What am I supposed to be looking for exactly? Like what signs should I look for if he likes me?"

"Um, shit I dunno, I haven't talked to someone like that in a long time." Calum laughed. "Yeah me too. Sorry Luke. Just trust your gut. And are you for certain you like him?" Michael asked making the tattooed boy ponder on that question. "I think so."

"Wait until you know a hundred percent before you ask him to be your boyfriend." Luke nodded with a small sigh before going back to work.

He thought long and hard about what Calum told him, maybe a little too much. Obviously this was all a little new to him, he's seen how relationships work in TV shows and movies, so he's not a full on noob He's also seen high school relationships too when still being in school. Like you need to comfort your partner when they're upset, irritated, or sad. Do little things from what has been witnessed. Just the basic things.

And then from what he's heard from Michael and Calum is that being in a relationship is like one big compromise. So it shouldn't be that hard, right? It didn't seem like Ashton was a complex person, but then again he's still learning a lot about the younger boy.

However, also knowing he should ask when the timing felt right, so maybe holding off on asking for right now is for the best. He told himself that he'll pay more attention to Ashton to see if any hints drop in that area. But as of right now, he will not be asking any time soon. Unless something spontaneous happens which is very very unlikely.

Groaning softly while standing to stretch his back, he went to go check within the customers in the store making sure they didn't need any help or have any questions, when finishing asking each one, glancing out the window spotting a familiar curly headed boy.

Luke smiled softly seeing Ashton, but it quickly faded when seeing a guy flirt with him. He frowned and furrowed his eyebrows stepping closer to the window trying to get a better view.

"Luke, standing too close to the window may scare off potential customers walking outside. Especially when you look like you want to kill people." Calum pointed out. "Look." He spoke as they looked over at Ashton. "What does that guy think he's doing?"

"Talking."

"That's not talking. He's flirting with Ashton. He can't do that." He huffed while rolling his eyes then putting them back on Ashton and whoever that guy was. "Last time I checked it's legal to talk to people."

"Well it shouldn't be."

"Luke, you're so jealous." Calum laughed then walking away.

It seemed like the guy wasn't having any luck because Ashton never really knew when someone was flirting with him. Lucky for Luke though. He smirked excitedly when seeing the guy finally give up and walk away as Ashton went back into the store.

It wasn't long until his phone buzzed.

I think someone was flirting with me

Luke softly laughed at his obliviousness, which he found adorable, but then responded as if he wasn't just watching them a moment ago. Ashton went on explaining the whole thing and as he did, Luke felt a 100 times better.

He explained how the stranger knew nothing about Blink-182 or Fall Out Boy which made him very uninterested. The only reason why he stayed until the guy gave up was because he felt bad.
