balletoperadeparis We're excited to welcome Izabela dos Santos Emboaba as a Sujet! Izabela joins us from (a)balletwest in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
She joined Ballet West II when she was 17 and was promoted to the main company a year later. Izabela was promoted to demi Soloist in 2012, soloist in 2013, and principal in 2015.
Notable roles that Izabela has danced include Gamzati in La Bayadère; Giselle and peasant pas in Giselle; Sugar Plum Fairy, Arabian, and Dewdrop in Nutcracker; Blue Bird, Lilac Fairy, and Aurora in Sleeping Beauty; Juliet and harlot in Romeo and Juliet; Odette/Odile and pas de quatre in Swan Lake; Mina Murray and Lucy Westenra in Dracula; Rubies and Diamonds in Jewels. Izabela is most looking forward to dancing at Palais Garnier and getting to know Paris more.
