The morning came where Issac woke to the sound of an alarm clock. He grouchily, and hesitantly got up from his comfort to start another exhausting day....

After making his way downstairs, all dressed up for school. He saw his mother in the kitchen with a content expression on her face making breakfast. Though he really wasn't hungry in the mornings..especially when he first wakes up...

"Hey mom..what are you making?" The lady snapped her head away from the pan, and quickly her expression changed into a snarl. Just like always whenever he attempted to have a decent conversation with her...

"It doesn't matter what I'm cooking Issac! Be more grateful!! Your honestly so selfish..just like your father was.." the boy flinched upon hearing his mother talking about the man, who was not present in his life.

"Mom...he's not really-"

"It's mother to you! Start talking more formally to me! Address me as mother like all the other kids in this damn town do.." he knew they were both in a money crisis..he also knew everyone in town was rich. That's one of the main reasons his mother moved here..what a selfish reason...

'I'm gonna get bullied aren't I.' In a town like this, while being in a family like this he knew bullying was a huge possibility.

"I'm gonna go to school so I'm not late on my first day...'Mother'"

His mother grimaced just by hearing his voice, and shooed him away silently.

After dreading the entire day, he continued on his journey to school.

The boy sighed after collecting his bearings, and warily left for his next class. He looked at random numbers indicating where each class would be...though he was still confused, and decided to ask around for help instead. He never liked asking for help even though he was ten. He still had pride...lousy pride, but it's still pride.

After awkwardly roaming the halls in search for another student or a councilor of an upper classmate. He deemed the halls were completely empty...

"great..." he muttered under his breath. First day and he was all ready lost...he had a schedule and everything too... he decided instead of more point-less searching he remained calm, and decided to lay on the floor and play an app on his phone or something..well...it's not technically his phone, but for now it is... wait.....what's a phone?..........the boy quickly shook his head and played with his fingers. Not knowing what else to do until he heard the school bell. Meaning he was expected in his next class.

"Remind me to never storm out before grabbing lunch...." The boy sighed while watching all his other classmates eating, and chatting among themselves..he couldn't help but envy how happy, and content they looked....almost like he wanted them to not be happy....

Wait...no..that's weird....

The boy shook his head once again only to discover a young girl staring straight at him, right in front of his face. The girl had e/c eyes and h/c h/s hair. She was giggling at his shocked expression..he wasn't expecting that at all...

"Hehe I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you! I'm y/n nice to meet you!" The boy couldn't muster up a reply even if he wanted to so the girl known as y/n continued

"I couldn't help but notice you were by yourself! I was too so I thought we could possibly be friends, you know? Only if you want to of course.." the young girl was incredibly enthusiastic up until she mumbled the last part.

The boy was puzzled. She wore a beautiful clearly expensive out fit...and she was talking to him?

He pointed to the her outfit, and she only laughed a bit

"Don't be silly! I'm not rich or anything..I'm guessing your not financially doing well at home? I don't want to pry or anything, of course....I just couldn't help but notice...your outfit is a bit outdated, and torn...." he blushed out of embarrassment...how could she have guessed that..straight off the bat too.....

"......okay..."

"Wow!! You talked! Hehe your so cute!!!" The boy blushed even more upon hearing that..how could one be so unaware of everything going around them....

"Oh..you don't have a lunch box....ohhhh I know! You can have some of mine!!"

The boy nodded his head and relaxed after deeming her friendly. She didn't seem like the person to betray him or anything, like he will to Laughing Jack.......wait...what? Who's laughing Jack? So weird....

After school ended he waved goodbye to his new friend, he was quite unsure when it came down to social interaction..

"Mom! I'm home.." hmm she seems to not be here...I wonder why?

After dropping his backpack on the ground once he entered his room he practically fell on his bed. Groaning as soon as his body meets the firm, springy mattress.

He knew he had home work to do, but for right now he didn't seem to care. Thoughtlessly drifting away to dream land without a care in the world!

That is until his mother showed up...always ruining his relaxation time...

"I know I was harsh towards you earlier...and I apologize." This isn't the first time she came to 'apologize' she never truly meant it....he knew she didn't mean it..but at least she tries?

"I'm taking your silence as you don't want to talk to me...which is fine...I got you something today.... to hopefully help ease your nerves since we moved in all.....and it's kinda apart of the apology.." the boy peered at his mother who practically threw a wooden box near his head. It did hit him a bit to his displeasure.

The mother simply walked away afterwards...she smelled like alcohol which explains the random apology, and gift..geez more things to worry about, huh?

He looked at the wooden box only to come to the realization that it was a Jack in the box of some sort.... kinda lame but a gift is a gift...at least it wasn't a rock like her last gift...

He cranked the box up.....only for nothing. Wow should have went with the rock.....

He placed the Jack in the box on his lamp table, and finally drifted to bed.
