Chapter 10

Veera finished all his pending work on the mainland and leaves for the safe house. When he reached the island, he see Tanet, Daw, Kla and the guards are busy playing beach volleyball. They seem to be having a great time.

Veera: Hey

Kla: Yo, your are back.

Veera: Hmm

Kla: Did you finish your work on the mainland?

Veera: Yes. I also have a great news for you guys.

Kla: What?

Veera: PSun has gained consciousness.

Kla: Wow

Tanet: Great news.

Veera: He is still in the hospital but he is doing great.

Tanet: Did you inform Rune?

Veera: Hmm. He is there with PSun right now.

Tanet: Huh

Veera: I spoke to Rune and solved all our differences. I took him to meet PSun and they confessed their feelings.

Tanet: I am so happy for Rune. I love you so much...

Tanet hugs and kisses Veera in excitement. But then he realized what he did. He is flustered by his actions.

Tanet: I...I am sorry. I didn't mean to..I

Tanet runs away from there while Veera stands there in shock.

Kla: Boss, you need to close your mouth or a fly is going to enter.

Veera comes out of his trance and glares at Kla.

Kla: I didn't do anything. He was the one who kissed you.

Veera: Huh..I..I will just go inside and change my clothes.

Veera walks briskly while everyone else laughs at their flustered boss.

Veera enters the house to find Tanet standing in the living room with his back facing him.

Veera: Tanet

Tanet: I am sorry. I didn't mean to do it. I know you are angry with me for breaking my promise. I promise I will keep my part of the deal. I will leave everyone and go.

Veera felt a pain in his heart hearing Tanet's words. He didn't want him to leave but his ego and fear of getting hurt again stopped him from doing so.

Veera: I will ask Kla to take you and Daw to the mainland.

Tanet: Hmm. I will get changed.

Veera: Hmm

As Tanet left the room, Kla and Daw entered the room.

Veera: Kla, since all the problems have been solved, please take them to the mainland. You can stay there with them. I will wrap up things here and come back.

Kla: But..

Veera: We will talk once we reach home.

Kla: Okay

Kla and Daw also go inside to pack.

Inside Tanet's room:

Daw: Tanet

Tanet: Hmm

Daw: Why didn't you tell him the truth?

Tanet: Because it does not matter.

Daw: How can you say that?

Tanet: Because he didn't stop me when I said that I want to leave. For him, I will always be a cheat and gold digger who used him.

Daw: Tanet

Tanet: Please Daw, let's not talk about this. I may not be able to control my tears.

Daw hugs Tanet to console him.

Daw: Everything will be fine Tanet. Time will heal all wounds.

Tanet: Hmm

They finish packing their things and leave the room.

In the living room:

Veera was having a drink when Tanet enters the room along with Daw and Kla.

Veera: Oh, you guys are ready to leave.

Tanet: Hmm

Veera: Kla, you can take the boat. Send the boat back once you reach there.

Kla: Okay

Veera: Make sure you carry your gun because the real culprits are still at loose.

Kla: hmm

Veera: Then you guys should leave before it starts to get dark.

Kla: Okay.

Tanet and Daw follow Kla as he walks out of the house.

Veera: Tanet

Tanet turns around to look at Veera.

Veera: You no longer need to fulfil that condition.

Tanet: But

Veera: I take back everything I said that day. You have suffered enough and ..

Tanet looks into Veera's eyes.

Veera: I am sorry for all the pain I caused you.

Veera walks away from there without looking back. A tear escapes Tanet's eyes as he looks at Veera who is walking away from him. Daw keeps a hand on Tanet's shoulder.

Daw: Let's go.

Kla: Just give him time. He will come around.

Tanet nods his head and walks out of the house towards the boat waiting for them.

As Tanet is getting on the boat, he notices something strange.

Tanet: Kla

Kla: Hmm

Tanet: Is this the only boat we have?

Kla: Hmm. Rest are on the mainland.

Tanet: Then, whose boat is that.

Kla looks at the boat that is tied at a distance from their boat. It is almost invisible, as if someone is trying to hide it.

Tanet: Kla

Kla: I think it's the enemy's boat. I need to be with Veera.

Daw: But

Kla: Victor, take them safely to the mainland and bring our men with you from the mainland.

Victor: Yes Sir

Tanet: No

Kla: Tanet

Tanet: We are not going leaving you guys behind.

Kla: Tanet, try to understand. These guys are dangerous, they can hurt you.

Tanet: I don't care. I am not going anywhere without you and Veera.

Daw: Me too.

Kla: Love

Daw: I just got you back. I am not losing you again.

Kla stood there before them helplessly.

Kla: Okay. I will agree on one condition.

Tanet: What?

Kla looks at them with a stern and no-nonsense expression.
