2 months, of how long the first fight has gone up and down. It was a small fight, all about the jealousy of Nayeon "hooking up" with Jeongyeon, Mina's ex

"Come on, Mina! Let me in a-and talk this out!"

"Just get the fuck out of here, will you?!" Nayeon sighed and curled up by the halls of their shared apartment, Mina sobbed and threw the pillows away from her then curled up into a ball drowning herself within the cold, dark room

:I'm sure you'll make it up with her, unnie.. Start it off with a hug

"Thanks, Chaeng.. And s-sorry for disturbing you, dongsaeng" Nayeon hanged up, opening the door gently and quietly then crawling inside to see her girlfriend sleeping soundly

Arms circle around Mina's waist, kisses placed on the smooth planes of her shoulder then soothing circles on the back of her palm as Nayeon muttered soft apologies to the girl in her embrace

"I'll make it up, minguin"

Months later, they went back to the couple everyone knew of. One with brains and the other with beauty, they were the perfect combo in everyone's eyes. Oaths were spoken under breaths, precious things lost from one another as they had their first..love-making

"Nayeon-ah, I have a question.."

"What is it, minguin?" Mina's doe eyes stare back at Nayeon's, fingers intertwined under the sheets, their bare backs glowing under the moonlight with only the thick sheet of the blanket covering them

"Would you stay and.. Live with me forever? Like until the end of our lives?"

"Of course, that's one of the reasons why I loved you" They smiled, leaning close for a chaste kiss, enough to put on warmth in their hearts

The next day came, Mina sat up yawning and scratching her nape when she felt herself growing colder..just noticing her bare and marked frame covered with nothing but the blanket that fell off her shoulders

"So beautiful, Nayeonie"

"You're pretty too, my ballerina~" Mina grins as she kept brushing the smooth, disheveled locks of Nayeon's. Their gazes were locked into each other, full of love and adoration as they stayed beside each other's presence

"Can we go out later?"

"But I want to stay home~ Y-You know I'm not fond of people" Nayeon kisses Mina's adorable pout, watching the red covering the Japanese girl's cheeks when she looked back at her

"Alright, we'll get some pizzas for us later.. Let's rest for now, okay?"

"I miss hugging you like this.. We've been busy lately" Mina mutters as warmth coated her from the older girl's arms, they shared wordless, loving stares before drifting into the night

Two days later, Mina came home to a sight of Nayeon sitting on Jeongyeon's lap, making out fiercely with hands scratching each other's skin

"Oh for fuck's sake.." Mina stormed out with a bang on the door closing, stomped her way to the Media and Arts building, where a small cub drew lines on her canvas

"C-Chaeng.. She's at it again"

"Aish, come here and have tea with me" Mina spent the night in the art room, the other two had finished their sinful deed without thinking of the consequences after

Few months later, Mina moved on and she's moved into Chaeng's apartment for the meantime

"Woah, they broke up? Whoever becomes Mina's partner is gonna be lucky~"

"Nayeon is such a player, she didn't even consider her feelings.. What a slut" Mina flinched at the harsh words, she walked her way to Psychology class and sat beside her lab partner

"Hey Han, got our interview finished?"

"Oh yeah, I got 50 interviews in a day, a lot of people are mentally unstable these days. Yet all we get is corrupt government and not a sign of mental illness treated nor cured so basically, you're living in a crazy world with an untreatable disease" The latter rolls her eyes, flicking pages of her notebook scanning the names and descriptions of the people she interviewed

"Geez, you and your big brain. No wonder your girl loves you so much"

"Yah~ No need to include Jennifer here~ I'm planning to court her after this class" Han took out her letter and watched a certain blonde from across the room, glint of love in her eyes as she stared

Time passed, Mina headed home with Chaeyoung

"Minari, how about we watch a new movie at your room?"

"That's a great idea, I'll set up my laptop-" Nayeon stood with a flower in her hand, leaning by the wall near the door she spotted the duo walking towards her

"Mina! Flowers, for you"

"No, move away Nayeon" Door was slammed close on the older girl's face, Nayeon sighed and waited for hours.. Just listening to the laughs of the two inside

"Unnie.. Can I say something?"

"Hmm?" Mina looks away from the screen, Chaeyoung still dazed at her beauty. The whole place became a quiet one all of the sudden, as if time stopped. The older girl glanced back into Chaeyoung's round orbs, a small grin forming as she gently wipe off the cheese crumble and powder off the cub's cheek

"I-I like you..."

"I do too, and I'd like to take it further with you.. Sorry for making you wait, cub" Chaeyoung's jaw was left agape, Mina giggled and closed her mouth then gave her lips a gentle peck, tasting the cheesy chip on their lips

Their gaze turned away, red covering their cheeks, yet hands tangled between them, bodies slowly becoming closer and more comfortable, settling into a warm embrace under the covers

"Thank you for tonight, Chae.. You're the best"

"Always welcome, Minguin.. I'm always here, I won't hurt you like she did" Soft laughs were heard outside by a sobbing Nayeon, she walked away when she felt kisses from the other side

The days spent by the new couple went great, Nayeon was devastated.

Chaeyoung made delicious breakfast for Mina, Nayeon had beer and chips.

Days passed, Mina's smile grew bigger, Nayeon's frown is also evident.

One day, Mina agreed to meet her ex one last time. It was winter of 2022, both had new lives and new selves

"Mina, it's been 4 years.. Are you still mad?"

"No, I'm happy.. Happy that I broke up with you and have a new life with Chaeyoung" The Japanese girl said and sipped her coffee, Chaeyoung was ordering a new batch of strawberry cake

"I'm glad, I'm also doing well.. After what happened, I'm sorry"

"It's all good, I apologize if we ended in a wrong foot.. I forgive you now, so you should move on.." Nayeon smiled warmly, that smile that Mina once saw long before.. Long when Nayeon loved her truly

"So I guess, you're Chaeyoung's fiancee now, huh? I'm happy she's loving you, unlike how I did before"

"Yeah, I'm getting married next week actually.. I'll send the invitation to you" Nayeon bowed, bids her goodbye to the two and left the shop

"What did you two talk about, hun?"

"Oh nothing, she's asking how we're doing" Mina gave her cub a kiss, they ate their lunch with eyes watching from the other side of the road

"Mina's all yours now, I hope you give her the love I never gave, I lost her to my stupidity, I guess this is the last.. Goodbye, Mina.."

"I love you" Nayeon got in her car, smiling as she left the road, two old souls' string broke apart, Mina's tangled onto Chaeyoung's and going strong as ever.

Loving someone isn't just a game, it's a challenge, for the sake of the feelings of one another, saving each other from problems they encounter, to give themselves a happier life in the end
