Jennie didn't know what to say when Lisa mentioned JooE. After all, she was still his cousin, Hye-kyo's niece, Hae-jin's daughter, and her half-sister.

However, from Lisa's tone, it seemed that he did not intend to let JooE continue relying on her family's influence to defy the law. Jennie could only remain silent regarding Lisa's actions against JooE.

"Why was Jisoo with you yesterday?" she asked suddenly.

"He was in the hospital when I learned you'd been kidnapped."

"No wonder, but how did you find out so quickly that I was kidnapped?" Jennie looked at him with puzzlement.

"Do you have a hundred thousand questions in your head?" Lisa didn't answer her question. Instead, he continued giving her the fish meat she liked. "Eat."

Jennie pouted and she looked like a kid who had been reprimanded by an adult during dinner. Embarrassed, she lowered her head to eat the food in her bowl.

As soon as she put a piece of fish into her mouth, she felt her stomach churn due to the strong fishy smell. Jennie did not know since when her senses were very sensitive, and even though this fish meat didn't have much of a fishy smell, she still felt like vomiting.

Jennie immediately raised her hand to cover her mouth, and under Lisa's surprised gaze, she rushed into the bathroom and threw up.

"What's wrong?" Lisa walked over and patted her back. "Why are you throwing up like this?"

Then, there was the sound of someone knocking on the door. Lisa paused for a moment, and with one hand holding a towel, he placed it beside Jennie.

Jennie continued to throw up as she shook her head at him, "I'm fine. You go and open the door."

Lisa frowned. He left the bathroom and walked towards the door while casually picking up the phone at the tea table. He wanted to call a family doctor and at the same time, he went to the door and opened it.

"Dad?"

Jennie retched for a while but still didn't spit anything out. She quickly put her hand under the water pipe and rinsed her mouth. Then she walked out.

"Dad." Jennie was slightly shocked when she saw Goong Min. However, when she looked into Goong Min's cold eyes, she felt a trace of disgust towards her.

Jennie immediately understood the reason why Goong Min suddenly appeared here today.

Although no one in the media dared to divulge what happened yesterday, it was impossible for the Manoban Family not to know about it.

"You're still not going to the hospital even though you were injured like this! Do you want to die? Do you really think you were raised under your grandfather's spear?" Goong Min frowned while scolding Lisa.

"Let's talk outside." Lisa remained expressionless as he walked out the door.

Goong Min snorted coldly and turned around to follow him out. Jennie quickly walked over, only to see Lisa closing the door. He gave her a look that told her not to worry.

Jennie was alert to the fact that she really gave Lisa a lot of trouble. She walked to the door to eavesdrop but found that they had walked far away. Only Goong Min's angry voice could be heard, but she couldn't hear Lisa's voice clearly.

Just as she turned to clean the dishes and boxes on the table, Goong Min suddenly shouted from outside." A woman like Jennie will make you lose your reputation sooner or later! This time she was kidnapped and this thing almost exploded up. Will there be some dirty pictures to be released next time?"

Jennie's feet stiffened, and her grip on the lunchbox gradually tightened. In her other hand, a chopstick suddenly fell, letting out a low and crisp sound as it landed on the floor.

After that, Goong Min's voice was no longer loud and Jennie couldn't hear him clearly, but she also couldn't hear what Lisa had said. When Jennie had tidied up the table, she thought about it and felt that she shouldn't have been so cowardly and hiding behind Lisa.

Jennie immediately went to the living room, and just as she was about to open the door, the door suddenly opened from outside.

"You just vomited so much. How are you?" Lisa asked softly as he picked up his phone to call the doctor. At the same time, he avoided talking about Goong Min's recent visit.

"Better." Jennie looked up at his concerned expression.

'Lisa, you gave me everything I wanted. A warm and peaceful marriage, and happiness. To me, all of this was not only a lifesaver in the sea but also a new support in my life.'

'But what did I bring to you?'

Too many thoughts flashed through Jennie's mind. As she looked at Lisa's worried face, she felt that she could no longer speak.

"Lisa, I.." Jennie opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but her voice was hoarse. "I..."

But at that time, Lisa was calling the doctor and turned his back on her. He immediately asked the doctor to go back to Greenville Residence and check Jennie's body.

Lisa was initially afraid that Jennie would be very sensitive to the hospital and the crowd yesterday, so he took her home to calm her down but seeing her vomiting like this, he was worried. He needed to let the doctor examine her body.

"Goong Min! Don't be too excessive! Jennie was just rescued from those people and if you added oil to the fire, you will hurt her too! After all, she is our daughter-in-law!"

Suddenly, Hye-kyo's voice came from outside the door. Jennie went to the window and looked outside. She saw that Goong Min was still not leaving. Apparently, Hye-kyo came after him. She pulled his arm and told him to leave.

Jennie never expected the situation to be so serious. After alerting so many people, her eyes gradually dimmed. Immediately, she saw Lisa walk out once again with a knot on his forehead.

What was coming would eventually come. Escaping wasn't a solution. Being protected again and again only added to his distress.

Jennie took a deep breath and hurried after Lisa.

Lisa tried to stop her, but Jennie looked at him with a determined gaze that made him feel sorry for her. She smiled at him. "Lisa, I'm not that weak!"

When Goong Min saw her walk out the door, he immediately flung Hye-kyo away and walked over with a cold expression. "Jennie, you should know your own limits. Our Manoban Family cannot let a person like you to stay!"

"Dad! Jennie was innocent! Aren't you being too aggressive!" Lisa frowned.

"Goong Min! Don't do that! Jennie is still a child and was kidnapped. If you have to blame something, you can only blame Lisa for not protecting our daughter-in-law properly! Why do you blame Jennie? Besides, the media had already informed us about it! Don't take this chance to force them to divorce! Let alone Lisa, even I don't agree with it!" Hye-kyo stepped forward and pushed him away.

"The Kim Family of Busan and Manoban Family have a good relationship for over twenty years. If it weren't for her, why did everyone's relationship become so stiff? Even though Jennie wasn't born from Chaerin, she was still her daughter! What was this supposed to mean? From the beginning to the end, I insisted on letting them divorce but you insisted on having that wedding! As your father, I will definitely not participate!"

Goong Min gritted his teeth and pointed at Jennie's pale face. "Jennie! You better know your limit!"

"Goong Min! You ..." Seeing Goong Min left after saying that, Hye-kyo anxiously went to catch up with him.

"Jennie?" Suddenly, Lisa's worried voice sounded.
