This is going to be a school Au but I'm going to have it still set in their world. So like it's just them if the went to highschool at the same time. If that makes any sense.
You were just walking around the schools halls with Mel waiting for the day to pass. It was your all's last year in school so you didn't really have anything going on. " Oh Yn have I ever introduced you to my friend Viktor?" You shook your head at her and looked at her oddly. She has never once said anything about this Viktor fellow and you were a little excited to meet him. She smiled at you and looked over at a small crowd of boys. "Viktor! Over here." She called and waved over excitedly. You see a tall yet lean boy about your age walk over. He had a book under his arm and his walking was aided by a crutch.
He looked like he was from the victorian ages. Pale, tall, thin, and maybe just a little sickly. But besides all of that he looked really sweet. "Hey Viktor this is my friend Yn, I want you to meet her. Yn this is Viktor, I want you to meet him." She smiled. You waved at him and flashed him a very kind smile. He smiled and waved back at you. "Hi I'm Viktor but um thanks to Mel here you um already know that." He said a little shyly. He was Russian, that was in expected but none the less it was really cute. " Hello Viktor, I'm Yn but also thanks to Mel you might had already known that." You said trying to make him feel a little bit better and more relaxed. He smiled and it seemed to work. He relaxed and in doing do he dropped the book that he was holding.
Working fast you dropped down to pick up the book. It was a book on the Arcane. This was a book that you had probably read at least a thousand times. "You read about the Arcane?" You had asked softly in disbelief. He nodded and slightly stuttered out a yes. "That's amazing." You said. He looked back up at you and smiled. "Really, you think so?" You smiled even wider and nodded. " Yeah! I have studied this stuff for as long as I can remember. My whole family has at that. You didn't want to say that your family was the last hailing line of Arcane Mages.
"Really? That's so cool!" Mel smiled at the two of you and slowly left you two alone. You and Viktor went on a very long discussion on all things Arcane related. He even went into some theories on your family and all of the other families that were known to use it. Oyu went by another last name obviously but it was just backwards. So when he started to put your facial reactions and and your name being the same just perfectly backwards that there was a high chance that you were part of that last line.
He gently pushed you over to a corner that no one was in and he asked you just that. " Are you, part of that family Yn. It's ok to tell me. I swear that I would never tell anyone." He pleaded. You looked around. When you saw that the coast was clear you nodded and begged him not to tell anyone. The only other person who knew about it was Mel. He smiled and his eyes lit up. " Do you know how to use it?!" "Hush!" You said laughing as you put your hand over his mouth. " Come to my house and I will tell you all about it ok?" He nodded excitedly and you smiled at him.
"Well come on then Vik, I'll walk you there." So he followed you home and you talked about English until you two actually got there. When you got home you locked the front door again and told your mother that you had a friend over. She walked out and looked back and forth between you quickly. "He knows mamma and I made him promise me that he would tell no one." He nodded along to what I was saying and she eyes his questionably. He told her that he would keep our secret past his grave and she seemed to relax a little after that. You brought him to your room and and showed him small things. Like making a rock float around the room and making it snow or rain in the room. His face held pure joy and amazement.
"Wow." He uttered. "I know right. You have no idea how good it feels to be able to show someone. Well someone that I can trust anyway. Long family lines." He nodded and smiled. He told you all about his family and some of his secrets so that you would feel a little bit more comfortable. Your mother let in Mel and she sat in the door way just listening, and smiling at home close you two were already getting.
The sun was past set and you didn't want him walking home this late and there was no way that your father was going to let you walk about this late. Even if it was walking your friend home. "Hey your staying here tonight. I don't want you walking home this late." He smiled thankfully and said thank you. You smiled at him and got a bunch of blankets and pillows out from your closet. Your bed had another pull out mattress, so you pulled it out and got it all set up. You offered to take the pull out but he insisted that you take your regular bed and that he would take the small pull out. After a few minutes of arguing about it you finally gave in. You smiled at him and he smiled back. You were happy to say that the two of you were really hitting it off.
