The whole South Korea was screaming when the news came out.

Pretty, young, female serial killer that brutally murdered over hundreds of people including her father turns herself in.

Everyone was obsessed with this news. Everyone kept every update of the news. Even though Lily's face was never shown on media, everyone couldn't get enough. Her real name was also not known to public. They only knew about her alias 'Lilith'. This news was trending on media for months. Everyone was so obsessed due to so many layers of this story. A pretty girl? Murdered over hundreds of people? All alone? All her victims were scums on earth? Her past? Her father's crimes? Her father? Everything was a topic of conversation.

Her interaction with the lead investigator was also a topic of conversation. She was sitting at the investigation room after turning worlds in when her lead detective Park Jeongwoo came. She immediately told him that she only turned herself because she had no faith in police and she was here to regain it. She wanted to see if there are any good police left that would investigate her case fairly, not take bribes from her friend Doyoung that would do anything and everything to get her out from prison and find every victim of her father. Jeongwoo was taken aback by all of that. But then he made it his mission to help her regain her faith in police. As according to him the police force isn't completely rotten. Jeongwoo spent months investigating without eating, sleeping, not listening to his higher ups that tried to make him stop the investigation. Lily had also told him to make sure the identity of her friend and family doesn't get revealed ever. He also worked on that.

Jeongwoo is still not done finding all of her father's victims. It might take years. But Lily was pleased about him and his police force. She even said 'I wish Gaeul would turn out just like you.' No one knows who Gaeul is. And they can't find out.

Then the day of her trial came. She told them to make sure no visitors are in the courtroom. She didn't want her friends and family in there. Not even the media. She was found guilty on all the charges. Murder, torture, assault, too many too count. She was sentenced to death and according to all the people in court she didn't seem to care too much about the sentence.

The internet was torn. One part wanted her sentence to be removed because all the people she killed were disgusting people anyway. The justice system didn't do anything so she is the one that served justice. She became a hero for them and a lot of people started a fan club for her. They supported her completely. She became one of those evil villain characters in the movie with hidden trauma that people love but in real life. On the other hand there were people that were completely for the death sentence as she was no one to take lives, when she is just a killer herself. Yes she has trauma about bad guys, but does that mean she can kill people she deems as trash? Absolutely not. And there were another group of people that were human right activists but were against the capital sentence. They were asking for a life sentence instead of the death sentence.

It is a complete mess. The media is still having a field day with posting all of her updates even months later. And everyone is eating it up.

Her behavior was really interesting to many people as well. Everyone was shocked at how she could detail every violent murder she committed with such straight face, without even slight remorse. Her past trauma and her behavior caught attention of lot of psychiatrists. Especially her mention of her 'devil boyfriend Jungkook'. Her story about meeting a closet monster, making a bond and him leaving just to return soon was fascinating. The way she talked about him was so real. Only when she talked about him, her face showed emotion. A lot of psychiatrists wanted to study her. The best research institution was permitted to take her and keep her there for a few days while psychiatrists talked to her. This permission was granted solely because keeping her in prison was a danger to her fellow inmates.
