Percy hated lying to Annabeth. It was one thing to lie to her to save her life or to prevent her from having the last blue cookie. However, lying to her for any other reason seemed like a crime mixed with cruel and unusual punishment.

He tried to tell himself that he wasn't technically lying to her. Just keeping the truth from her. Percy was fine with this way of thinking. Thrilled, even, that he found a way to convince himself that he wasn't lying to the person he loved.

That is until Leo found a way for demigods to use electronics without monsters making them their next snack.

Percy and Annabeth started watching a new show together called Jane the Virgin, and everything was going fine until the grandmother said that lying by omission was still a lie.

Then, Percy's guilt about lying ramped right back up. So, he went to the person he knew would be the most honest with him. Smack him upside the head if he really needed it.

"Oh my gods, Percy. You did not—" Thalia said.

"Pipe down a little, would you?" Percy sputtered out. "I know, I know, I'm an idiot! But when I saw it, I couldn't help it! She's just so amazing and, now, I have to hide it from Annabeth."

Thalia laughed and reached out to comfort the nervous wreck before her. "It will be okay, Percy. Seriously, that girl loves you so much. They tell the stories of you two around an open campfire."

"Well, not just us. You also have Grover, and Tyson, and the rest of the Seven, and Clarisse, and the Hunters, and Beckendorf, and Silena, and Nico, and the Stolls, and the rest of Camp, and Camp Jup—"

"Okay!" Thalia jumped in. "I get it. But seriously Percy, you have nothing to be nervous about."

Percy would've been less surprised at Thalia if she had stabbed him. "Really? Do you really mean that or are you just saying it?"

"I'm saying it as someone who has known you and Annabeth for years. As someone who has watched your disgusting love for each other grow," Thalia said. "Trust me, I really mean it, Percy."

More relaxed then than as he was all day, Percy smiled and leaned in for a hug. Thalia reluctantly allowed it.

Suddenly, pulling away from the hug, Thalia said, "Alright, now scram, you rodent. Before I decide to expose this conversation to Annabeth after you tell her what you've been planning without her."

Percy gave her a lopsided grin and saluted to her as he turned to walk towards where Annabeth was.

It didn't take long for him to reach her cabin from the woods. Most of the other campers were training or performing some other camp activity, so Percy didn't have to spend extra time weaving between campers. As he walked, his right pocket felt heavier, like someone dropped piles of rocks into it. Percy could only focus on two rocks at that point. One of them being Annabeth, obviously not in the literal sense.

When he finally reached the cabin, his heart decided it wanted to try escaping from his chest. His hands decided that the Amazon Rainforest needed more competition. His legs decided to have the same stability as a toddler learning to walk for the first time.

But when he saw her, sitting there. Completely zoned out to the world around her, and in a world of her own full of beautifully designed buildings. His heart synchronized with hers, his hands itching to reach inside his pocket, and his legs stabilized.

Annabeth Chase. The woman he would walk through hell for. The woman he walked through hell with. On purpose. Mostly.

"Either I'm going insane or someone is lurking right behind me," Annabeth said, still focused on her architectural drawings.

"Have you ever considered that maybe it's both?" Percy replied, his smile spreading from cheek to cheek as he walked over to wrap his arms around her.

"No, Percy. You're going to distract me," Annabeth chided softly while she covered his arms with her own. Thus, effectively locking him in.

"Sorry," Percy chuckled. He stood behind her for a while before speaking up again. "I wanna play this game."

"Hmm?"

"I'm going to ask a question, and you're going to answer that question with the first thing that comes to your head," Percy said.

"Okay, go for it."

"Which is better; Green or Blue?"

"Green," Annabeth answered.

Like your eyes, she wanted to add.

"Which is a better desert; Cupcakes or Cakes?"

"Cupcakes."

"Is Percy the best boyfriend in the world?" Percy asked, one hand reaching into his pocket and pulling out the velvet box.

Annabeth laughed. "You already know the answer to that, Seaweed Brain."

"Does that mean that I can change the title of boyfriend—" he moved to Annabeth's side and got down on one knee, "—into fiancé?"

Not yet seeing Percy down on his knee, Annabeth's answer to Percy's simple question was also simple.

"Yes," Annabeth said. After a few milliseconds, it finally occurred to her what Percy asked and what he was doing. She turned and saw Percy down on his knee with a gorgeous ring and a big, stupid smile on his face that she came to love. "Oh my gods!"

Annabeth chanted her acceptance over and over again before leaning in to kiss him with a big, stupid smile of her own.

A/N: Awwwwww. Thanks to whoever made that headcanon that I read! I loved writing this

So so sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while. I got busy with school, and after-school stuff. The next one-shot was going to take longer to finish than I wanted it to, so I just wrote this real quick.

Please make sure to vote, comment, share, follow, etc!! It really means a lot to me.

(P.S. Sorry for any spelling errors and lack of detail. The first part was written at 3:00 AM by a very sleep-deprived me, and the second part was written at midnight on a school night by a very rushed me. The editing was done by a lazy me, which is to say: not edited at all. Not a good combination.)
