Two weeks later...
You walk in to the courtyard with Clem and Aj, you found them on the way out so you just joined them
Clem: You ready to work today, kiddo? I know you were up late
Aj: Yeah, I went around the school eight times last night on patrol
Clem: Find anything?
Aj: No danger, I just found a turtle that I thought we could keep. But it was dead, and had bugs inside, so I thought, never mind. It's my turn to be lookout
Tenn waves at Aj
You: Just to clarify. I talk to myself too
Clem: Y/N, what are you on about?
You: "Well, Clementine, you sure did raise a weird kid. Hm, no kidding, Clementine. Maybe 'cause you're the sort of person who talks to herself when she's alone"
You end with a chuckle
Clem: How did you hear me?
You: You weren't exactly quiet
Clem: Forget about it
You: Nope, not happening
Clem: Do it. Now.
You: Okay, damn you're scary
Clem: That's what I thought
You hear Louis and Violet talking
Louis: I have other stuff I need to do
Violet: What stuff?
Louis: Nothing, it's just...it's important
Violet: Goddamn it, Louis, take this seriously, for once in your life!
Louis: I've been taking this seriously for fucking days! Almost two weeks!
Violet: So has everyone. Get over yourself!
Louis walks away. You walk over to Violet
Violet: Hey
Clem: I thought Lilly and Abel would show up days ago. I wonder why they're holding off
Violet: Don't know. All I wanted was more time to prepare, but now this waiting sucks, and everyone's on edge
You: I read somewhere that within defending a place or invading a place you need good morale in the days before the event, so that the people fighting or defending feel that the fighting or defending is for a reason, and it encourages people to fight by each others sides
Violet: When did you get so smart
She says jokingly
You: Shush Vi. Don't be jealous
Violet: Whatever you say
Clem: Do you need my help?
Violet: Yeah, actually. Could you check on everyone, and make sure they're doing shit right?
Clem: Sure, I'm on it
Violet: Thanks, Clem. I should go board up the back hallway, since Louis isn't gonna do it
You: What can I do?
Violet: I don't know, just try and be helpful
You decide to go and do lookout with Aj and Tenn, get your shift over before it was due
You: How are we all then?
Aj: We're okay, just doing a little lookout
Tenn: It's pretty cool being actually involved
