Chapter 14: The Confession

Here it is, the confession chapter, the moment you've all been waiting for

You and Clem make your way up to the balcony overlooking the courtyard and look over the edge

You: So, do you think it looks good? Ready for this raid?

Clem: I think the school looks good, but I-   I have to admit, I'm really worried about the raid

You: I may have not known you for long but, from what I've seen, you're strong enough and brave enough to help us defend

You look over at her, you admire her features, her beautiful hazel eyes, the way her hair blows in the mild breeze, every detail looks perfect

Clem: You okay?

You: Yeah it's just... You have nice eyes and your hair looks pretty

Clem starts blushing

Clem: Thanks, you have nice eyes too

You now start blushing

You: Thanks

Clem: Don't the stars look pretty?

You: Yeah, a nice white glow, just up there in the night, helping guide some lost traveller to safety

Clem: It's a nice thought that they're helping someone to safety right now. Hopefully they can guide us to safety

You: Do you ever wish you were a star? Just up there, in the night sky, no worries on your shoulders, just peace, watching the world from a place you can't be hit by its problems

Clem: Yeah, sounds like a nice way to live, without any worries, reminds you of before the walkers

You: Yeah, life was incredible before the walkers roamed

Clem: But sometimes it's nice to look back at the people you've met along the way

You: Yeah, I'm glad I met you and Aj

Clem: Why?

You: You helped me become the person I used to be and Aj helped me see what it's like to be young again, he's exactly like I was when I was young, besides the 'coming up behind' thing

Clem: You're welcome, honestly Y/N you're way too kind to me and Aj even after Aj murdered Marlon

You: Aj made a decision, and while it was a bad decision it was already done, what's done cannot be undone

Clem: Fair enough

You: Isn't the breeze nice out here?

Clem: Yeah, this is my favourite type of weather, not too hot, not too cold

You: Same here

(Sorry if it isn't your favourite weather)

You look at Clem again, trying to not get lost in the grip of her beautiful hazel eyes

You: Clem. I need to confess something

Clem: Go ahead

You: I-I------I really like you. Like, I REALLY like you. In other words... I love you

Clem gasps

You: I-I don't know if the feeling's mutu-

Clem shuts you up by kissing you on the lips, you slightly moan at the connection, it was more than a quick peck, it was at least 6 seconds, every millisecond was heaven, it was like a weight had been lifted from your shoulders, like you were floating on air, her lips were soft and warm, it was what you could only describe as bliss. You both pull apart

Clem: Wow, that was intense

You: Yeah *huff* it was

You slowly grab Clem's hand and you both look over the balcony holding hands

Ruby: Y/N! Clem! You up there?

Clem: Gotta go, I got lookout duty

You: Well, I guess you should go do that

Clem starts to walk off

You: Clem?

Clem: Yeah?

You: I love you

Clem: I love you too

Clem walks off and you go and sit outside on the same sofa you played truth or dare on, very, very happy with how your night went, now that you had something to fight for you were ready to take on the raiders

Well, there you go, for my first book I don't think I did too badly with the love confession, tried to make it cute, let me know your opinions though. (Apologies for making the chapter shorter than usual)
