Like A Diamond In The Sky

By the way guys I found the dedication tab.

The moon tonight - an unfinished poem;

The lost half of a locket, damp warmth.

What an incomplete beauty, you say,

But look here, my dear.

Look how the stars shine in the echo of it's presence.

Look at the glittering blanket spread across your cracked windowpane,

Across the roof of your tired lane,

Across the vastness of the mirror ocean.

The unmarred pattern of glowing stars shines brighter without the moon to steal it's glory.

You can hear this in the curious footsteps of the little boy learning his numbers by counting the stars.

You can feel it in stolen glances at a lover,

On nights when sleepless minds wage silent war

Against their own heaving homes.

Look here, my dear.

Look at each star up there

Carefully,

Because one of them is you and

One of them is me.

And tonight, we will shine louder than ever before,

Our glowing voices carried across seas and coasts,

Across wide eyes and unmade beds and crowded streets.

Because, my dear,

Between you and me, we're one overwhelmingly endless galaxy.
