this is just a simple wordgirl based au with the grojband universe tbh (since i'm huperfixated on both wg and gb atm lol)

surprisingly, corey's not the main focus for once, but carrie definitely is. not only because she kinda fits becky's/wordgirl's personality to a tee, but also just because i would find it a bit weird/wrong to just make corey wordgirl in this scenario ngl

i feel like trina would be dr two-brains tbh?? like, she's already *technically* possessed by something in normal grojband canon anyway— so it kinda works if she's two-brains here

mina would probably be trina's lackey like she is in canon, except trina treats her better here bc it's what mina deserves lmao
unfortunately for mina though, she doesn't know that wordgirl is her sister, so she goes through with trina's commands without a second thought rip :(

instead of assigning all of the adults/other characters different types of villains, i feel like barney would just switch through various villains when he's bored. his main two are the butcher and chuck the evil sandwich making guy (idk, it just fits ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

mayor mellow would definitely be mr. big, and leslie would probably either be his mother's photo, or an actual person who's his girlfriend or smth, idk. either works, although i'm sorta leaning towards the photo thing so it's more canon-compliant

of course though, there's still actual grojband villains in this as well.
planty is here with the exact same powers/scheme going as he has in the show..
the blue + pink stars would be here as rhyme and reason (because they're a duo that's almost always together/commonly associated together tbh)
torbo would be there but it'd probably just be a one time deal like it was in the show ngl

corey is most likely going to take the place of victoria best (a girl who works as becky's foil/counterpart) for obvious reasons. unfortunately though, this means that he's going to be evil i'm sorry (no im not lol)

on the bright side, at least he's doing the brainwashing now instead of *being* the one getting brainwashed— (gets thrown)

lenny is tobey just for the fact that i think it'd be funny ngl
besides, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers arc with the two? fuck yea

konnie would probably take the place of violet as carrie's best friend. or maybe even laney, idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

kim is scoops + carrie's first crush bc love wins <3
in this though, konnie and kim aren't crushing on each other because they're siblings and that'd just be fucking gross (for uh. obvious reasons)

however, carrie would definitely get slightly jealous of them hanging out regardless bc that's just how she works, i feel

uhhhhh,, not sure what kin, kon, laney, and various other characters would do/be/whatever because i haven't really thought that far with this one

but yeah, that's p much it lol
if/when i figure out more stuff i'll probably update this chapter or make a new one to go with it 💪
