*the next morning *
"hey lin what do you think about going to the south pole for like a year or so. I know its kinda sudden but with the whole tenzin freak out and stuff, I'd feel better if you wern't in republic city" Kya said as they ate breakfast
Lin chuckled lightly "I was actualy thinking about going to the earth kingdom and staying with my grandparents, But this seems like a much better option."
"great, if we're gonna go we should probaly leave soon. Think we could have everything we need packed in an hour or so?" Kya asked
"sure we can start once we finish breakfast" Lin nodded
*at the ferry*
Katana was crying aagain and Lin was trying to get her to stop. "why dose taking care of babays have to eb so hard" The metal bender groaned.
"you've had a kid for a little over 24 hours and your already tired of her" Kya chuckled
"yes, I love her to death but shes also extreamly anoying" Lin complained rocking her baby. Lin saying that she loved her doghtor braught somthing back from the night before she was about to mention it when the ferry horn blew signaling that it was leaving soon.
*around two years later*
ages now: Bumi: 26 Izumi: 25 Kya: 24 Tenzin: 22 Lin: 21
it was Lins birthday and the last they they would be in the south pole. Kya had convinced Lin to leave a two year old Katana with one of there friends so that the girls could celebrate the metal benders 21 birthday juts the two of them. The girls were siting on a clif watchong the sun set after having a fun night together.
"how do you think Katana gonna react to having to leave? All her memorys are here what if she dosn't like our familys" Lin said worried
"She'll be fine she'll love republic city" Kya reasured
"how do you think our familys are gonna react I know tenzin already probaly told a bunch of peopl" Lin fretted
"I dout anyone belived him hes always had a bad temper, they probaly think he was just finaly accepting you were gone and tried to get people to search for you or somthing" Kya said
"hows my mom gonna react? What if I never get to be chief?" Lin ranted
"you don't need to worry I'll help you through everything" kya smiled at her friend
"promis?"
"I promise" kya said. after a bit of silince she spoke again about somthing she had been freeting about for the past two years. "hey Lin do you rember saying anything to me on the night Katana was born"
"nothing spacific, why" Lin asnwered
"oh well, um, you said that you loved me" Kya said sayingt he lastg part quieter her cheeks heating up. Lin didn't answer for a bit so Kya spoke again. "you know what it was nothing I proably imagined it" kya dismissed
"do you feel the same" Lin asked after a bit not meeting the water benders eyes
"what?"
"do you feel that way about me too?" Lin asked a bit more clear
"so you do love me?" Kya asked excitdly
"yeah" Lin smiled lightly. Kya didn't respond instead pulled the metal bender into a kiss. Lin kissed back instantly and kya smiled into the kiss. They ended the night closer than ever. (as in they had sex but I'm not gonna write that)
*the next moring*
"do we have to leave momy?" katana asked her mother
"yeah katana you'll get to meet the rest of our family."
