"Where are we going anyway? That path doesn't look familiar." JiAh questioned gesturing at the alien trail they were walking towards. The market place was left far behind and now all what's seen was grassy meadow and woods that were getting dense with every step.

"Are you afraid I'll leave you in a forest to be the dinner of wild boars." Yoongi teased her, a mocking smile on his face.

"I dare you to do that." She scoffed, still struggling to make her way deep into the woods.

"Oh My Lady! I'm going to be the one escorting you. You're my responsibility. At least have some faith in me." He spoke matter of factly,

JiAh felt like cursing him but still nothing came out. He was actually right, she was his responsibility. Besides, he never gave her a reason to doubt him. Surprisingly, she started to feel safe around him. Shrugging her thoughts away, she looked around to grasp the details of the trail they were following but it was all woods. She wondered how Yoongi knew where they have to go.

After what seemed like a fifteen minutes walk, they reached their destination as Yoongi stopped walking. The long walk was too tiring for JiAh, so her curiosity increased ten folds to finally take a view of the place she was eager to reach.

She stepped ahead where Yoongi was standing, to get a close look. Her eyes lit up when she saw the scenery in front of her in amusement. They were on the edge of a cliff that directed straight into the heart of the giant lake flowing elegantly by the force of rippling water that came from the waterfall beside it. The lake was surrounded by many cliffs and hills decorated with many trees and bushes making the environment overall fresh and soothing. The sound of the flowing water calmed her nerves, and voices of birds was music to her ears. She never felt this peace in her entire life. It was like a paradise, a paradise she would never want to leave.

"So, do you like the place?" He asked smiling towards her

"So, do you like the place?" He asked smiling towards her.

"I love it. This place is amazing. Thank you so much Yoongi for bringing me here." She turned towards him bearing a wide grin on her face. She held both his shoulders as she started jumping in excitement.

Yoongi found it unable to hide his smile when he saw her this amused. Somehow watching her happy made his heart make a leap. He applied a great amount of effort to conceal the exaggerated sound of his heart that was beating against his chest. He gave a sigh of relief when JiAh left his shoulders and came to the edge of the cliff to seize the serenity of the moment.

Both of them settled themselves at the edge while the gentle droplets of the waterfall caressed them with cool breeze.

"When I was a kid, I used to ask my parents to take me for a vacation. I swear I had exactly the place like this in my mind. They said they were busy due to work, and promised to go next year." She stared at the deep water, the faint memories of her childhood engulfed her thoughts.

Yoongi looked at her smiling, a smile that carried several meanings with it. The curiosity to know more about her automatically started forming words in his mouth. "Then?"

"Then?....then I grew up. Watching my hopes die just waiting for that 'next year' that never came. Got busy in my own world, with my own responsibilities. Those muffled dreams soon became mute, buried deep inside my heart." She gave a deep sigh before masking the sad eyes with cheerful ones and a smile formed around the corner of her lips "Now I realize, that sometimes its good to give a pause to your daily affairs and do something for yourself. Life is much more than breathing."

"So that is the reason you became a historian? So you can have a daily vacation in the name of work." He teased, making her chuckle by his playful taunt. "That can be a theory." She replied, and they started laughing.

Both of them remain silent for a long time, admiring the beauty of the nature that made their heart warm. "Watch out." She heard a loud scream as Yoongi lunged in her direction, sheltering her with his body.

The commotion was too quick for her to figure out what was happening. She was slammed on the ground head first, and Yoongi was crushing her under his weight. Her eyes widened in horror realizing something was wrong when a grunt of pain escaped his mouth. She paced her hands on his shoulder, to trace a metal object that seemed to have pierced his flesh. It didn't took her long to realize that he was stabbed by a knife.

"Yoongi." She spoke trying to know if he was alright. He managed to sit back grabbing his injured shoulder, blood gushing out to make a patch of his clothes crimson.

"Pull that out of me." He spoke in a commanding tone, wrapping her hand around the knife.

"I can't....I can't do it." Her eyes were filled with tears, which she tried hard enough to hold back.

His eyes went soft, watching her on the verge of crying. He kept a hand on her cheek to vipe the lone tear that made its way out. "Its okay, you can do it. I trust you." He gave an assuring smile to her.

She nodded before taking the knife out of his shoulder with a single swift pull. He held back a yelp of pain as the cold metal got separated from his body.

Both of them got on their feet, while Yoongi examined the bloody knife that was lying on the damp soil. "Koguryos." He frowned looking at the texture of the metal. "These kunais are used by the the Koguryo clan." He explained. "They are the local tribal clan of this area. But thats odd, they never attack anyone without a reason, then why now."

Before JiAh could make sense of this overly dramatic situation, another knife came flying towards them. This time she didn't wanted him to get hurt for her sake. She refused to let him drag her like a dead weight, while she whined at a corner to see him putting his life on the line.

After that everything happened in slow motion. Her body moved automatically, as she pushed him away from the knife, making the blow hard enough for him to land on the ground.

Wrong move!!!

The recoil impact made her stumble few steps back and the damp soil aided her to further lose her balance. Before she could get a hold on herself, there was an end to the ground underneath her feet. Her head spinned so fast and she parted ways from the firm ground, felling down from the cliff. In a matter of second her body hit the cold water, making giant splashes on the surface of the lake.

JiAh paced her hands back and forth wildly, struggling to stay at the surface of the lake. She cursed herself for neglecting the need to learn swimming. All her attempts were going in vain because the water was constantly pushing her deep into the lake. She gasp for air but all she got was water that was being forced down her throat making it burn. She started coughing hysterically. The water made it difficult to open her eyes and look for the direction towards the shore while her muffled voice restricted any cry for help.

It didn't took long for her limbs to start giving up, draining even the last ounce of her energy. She could feel her weight being sucked into the depth of the water. She stopped struggling, knowing her oxygen deprived body was working as a disadvantage. Every attempt of opening her mouth made her gulp even more water. Breathlessness was making her vision blurry, but the thought of losing her life like this gave a piercing ache in her heart. She atleast wanted to be in her own world, beside her loved ones if she was to die an untimely death.

She made one last attempt to push her legs to get out of the water but only managed to cause more pain to her already sore body. Soon everything around her went dark.
