"That'll be 2,500 yen"

"Here you go, thankyou"

Izuku went out of the car and was relieved to find out the place where he will be staying is a nice place, 'looks like an expensive apartment, I'll thank yukio later for being considerate'

He went to find the room number that yukio sent him. It was when he found the room he remembers that he doesn't have a key and maybe yukio forgot to tell him because he always forget to mention about important things.

Awkwardly standing in front of the door in an empty hallway, taking his phone out to call his annoying boss about the dumb mistake. Just when he was about to call yukio he heard a voice behind him

"What are you doing in front of my apartment"

The voice shook him but whats more shocking is what the man said, 'his apartment?' but another surprise added when izuku turn around and saw todoroki shoto himself in the flesh!

'oh god yukio, what have you done' it's not a surprise that yukio is a jerk and he doesn't discuss important stuff like this with him but can't he be considerate?? He took back his words from this morning about yukio finally being considerate

"Wait, are you izuku midoriya?"

When he heard his name coming out of the taller's mouth, he froze, because no one knows that he's a journalist except for people who work in the same company with him

Couldn't leave the guy hanging so he nods in response

"Ah, you should've called me. You're the guy rented the room I put on sale right?"

izuku nod aggressively because he was too shock to find out he rented a room that happens to be at todoroki's apartment and he didn't even know about all of this. 'as soon as I get back to Tokyo, I will kill that bastard'

Back to yukio

"ACHOO!"

"Someone must've talked about you behind your back, Takahashi san" His secretary mentioned as this is his third sneeze of the day

"It might be izuku, he probably miss me!"

"As if, I bet he's thinking about ways to kill you right now"

"Why would he think that! He loves me!...I mean he's probably a little mad but he's going to forgive me anyways!"

His secretary just shook her head and thinking about how miserable midoriya currently is because of their boss

"Um so your room is there, that's my room and feel free to use anything here but I'd appreciate it if you don't enter my room and my work room that's located at the end of the hallway"

Izuku knew that his 'work room' is where he paints, just a journalist intuition.

"Thanks, uh btw how old is todoroki kun?" Izuku asked pretending to not know

"I'm 21, you?"

"Ah, I'm a year older! You can talk comfortably around me I don't mind!" He replied while putting on his friendly smile, which he doesn't do very often unless it's necessary

"Cool"

Boundaries. It was so clear that todoroki was putting boundaries between them.

"Can I take a shower? It was a long trip"

"Sure, the bathroom is right there. Also I'm going to buy groceries-"

"YOU ARE?- ahem I mean, you are? If it's okay with todoroki kun, I'd like to go with you. It's my first time here in Kanazawa, so I don't really know my way around here. It'd be nice if I can go do the grocery shopping myself when todoroki kun is not around. Oh but if you're in a rush, I can try to find it other time. But I promise it'll be a quick shower-"

"I don't mind, I'll wait for you"

"Ah thankyou so so much! I feel much better now that I know that todoroki kun is willing to help!"

Saying that it was his first time in Kanazawa was a lie, I mean how else would he made bad memories here if he have never been to this place before. But he needed to lie, todoroki was clearly putting a boundary between them. This is a chance to get closer to him, to make todoroki trust him, and somehow drag him to Tokyo for an interview. It'll work out somehow..

He went to take his short shower leaving todoroki waiting outside on the dining table all alone

*Ring ring*

Todoroki heard a phone call from midoriya's phone, he didn't know whether to let it be or pick it up for him, but seeing the contact name is what made him pick it up on behalf of midoriya

'dumbass' is what you usually name your siblings right? I mean a close friend perhaps? But then again, it might be important or they might want to know if he safely arrived to Kanazawa, so he was just about to tell them that midoriya arrived safely and ask them to leave a message for him as he is currently showering

<Call>

Yukio: hey babe, you arrived safely there? Please don't be mad at me~

Shoto: uh, is this midoriya's family member? I'm his roommate, he arrived safely in Kanazawa and is currently showering

Yukio: family member?? Well I guess you can say we're close, I love him but not in a family type of love

Shoto: ..any message you want to leave for him?

Yukio: it's fine, just tell him to call me back later

<End call>

Todoroki was left with nothing but questions

It's not good to assume, todoroki knows that but he's also very sure that this person is midoriya's boyfriend. Not that living with a gay person bothers him but what bothered him is that is his boyfriend okay with him living with a random guy?

"Eh- my phone?"

"Ah sorry, someone called I figured I'd tell them you arrived safely just in case they're worried"

"Oh don't worry about it, so who was it?" Izuku asked while he picked a glass of water, and drank some of it because he have been thirsty since the time he arrived at Kanazawa. But he was too nervous to remember until just now

"Umm..your boyfriend?"

"COUGH* COUGH* WH-wHat? BOYFRIEND?"

Since when did todoroki know that he was gay?? Is todoroki gay too? Is it his gaydar? But most importantly, what did the other party said for todoroki to assume the impossible (not really)

Only one person that izuku knows who say weird stuff that leads to misunderstandings

'yukio you bastard!'

"A-ah is it yukio?"

"I don't know, his contact name was 'dumbass' and he also asked you to call him back"

"Yup it's him, don't worry about it, he's a bit crazy sometimes and say stuff that will cause misunderstandings. Oh and he's not my boyfriend"

"Is that so, I apologize for assuming"

"No worries, um if you excuse me, I'm going to call him back as he instructed. Sorry for making you wait!"

"Take your time"

A/n: it's always on 12 am on a random Thursday night that I complete a chapter on impulse, I wrote non stop because I don't know why I started at like 10 and finished around 11-12, I actually had a draft on chapter 2 but I really didn't like it cause it's method was like chapter 1 and I hate it, concept I like but I personally think it was way ooc,
